Newcomer / Intro where to find bounty hunters?

i took a mission to find and kill 2 bounty hunters, will they be in a uss or at the nav?

i also got a mission update in a uss asking me to kill pirates instead.

now every time i kill a pirate it counts as one kil towards the mission update.

but i want to do the original mission to kill the bouinty hunters for rank gain and rep etc.

should i avoid killing pirates for now or just abandon the mission?

I have a feeling that I've killed mission targets at Nav points that haven't counted toward mission goals ... to be on the safe side, maybe look in USSs.

As for the mission update I think you should just kill bounty hunters and turn in the mission when you've met the target. Killing pirates as well shouldn't make any difference ... though the mission system is buggy and confusing so you never know!

You can find bounty hunters in USS's or nav points. They will be clean and come up to you and scan you to see if you're wanted.
