Newcomer / Intro Where to find my other ship?

I have the Mercenary Edition. Says i have an eagle ship docked some where.
Nothing appears on the galaxy map so i don't know how to find it. (not that i even understand how to get to other systems just yet)

On the map it will appear over the system it is located in with a blue icon that looks like a little cobra.

To find the system , go to a station with a shipyard, then click one of the tabs on the right hand side of the shipyard screen.

Mine was in my starting station. If you have traveled to any other station you will need to get back to your starting station. Then get into the "Station Services" menu, select the "Shipyard" once in the "Shipyard" select the tab for stored ships and your Eagle should be in there.

I started at some tiny dock, i dont think there is a shipyard. And there are no shop icons on the map other than the one i'm in.

Travel and dock in one of the larger stations, it should have a shipyard.
Click Station Services, then Shipyard and look for the ships tab, as mentioned above.
When you get the location, type it into the search box on the galaxy map, found in the tab marked Navigation.

We call them Freagles.

I found what might be a larger station in the same system. but i can't work out how to stop at it.

How do i slow down in time without doing an emergency stop? i keep speeding past.

Before you get to your destination (either about 150LS or 0:06 seconds if you want to cut it really fine) make sure you reduce the throttle so that it's somewhere in the blue zone on the throttle bar, then your throttle is reduced automatically from there. Something like 75% usually works. When the indicator says it's safe to disengage, press the key to cancel supercruise (err.. J by default I think?) it should drop you at the station.

Anyone else bothered by the fact the particular station within the system where your ship is located is not displayed on the shipyard tab? Mine happened to be in a system with 3 stations, and I had the bad luck to the check the two it was not at before the one where it turned out to be. Didn't kill my fun or anything, couldn't have been more than 10 mins of playtime "wasted", but it seems kind of a no-brainer to include the station as well as the system in the shipyard list...
