Newcomer / Intro Where to find upgrades?

So I finally got in a cobra and I want to upgrade my FSD. Sadly, I can't find one I can use in my system or neighboring systems.

Are there market hubs? Where are they if there are?

Seems to be usually the higher the population in a system, the better the range of upgrades available. I've also heard that high tech systems are better equipped, but havent confirmed that for myself.

As Sensine said,best places are high tech systems for standard ship modules. More specialised modules such as higher end system scanners and frame shift drive interdictors can be found relatively close by in other stations or systems.

you didn't state where you are currently, but if your near Eravate there is a high tech system a couple of jumps over GD 219 they have most items.
