Where to I buy a fuel scoop?

Hi chaps.

Okay, I'm a complete noob.

Have been trying to buy a fuel scoop. Trouble is, where ever I go I can't find one to buy.

Have looked in outfitting and pretty much all over the place.
Can someone give this idiot a step by step method of actually finding the scoop to buy? Where is it?

Welcome Commander!

Check the galaxy map for high-population high-tech systems as those are your best bet. I though pretty much everywhere sold these though. Make sure you select the correct mount when checking such as the one your discovery scanner is in.
