Where will you be for 3.3?

I get the impression some people are getting themselves in place to do outfitting. I'd been thinking of sitting on some of the more interesting codex discoveries I'd spotted in beta to get my name on them...
But before taking a break over the summer I'd sited myself in Colonia, and partly I hadn't headed back because it seemed a shame not to get to Sag A* first. So now I'm finally headed that way, with luck I'll make it before 3.3 arrives, then back to Colonia, and finally back to the bubble to get around to unlocking those FSD boosters (which'll take a bit longer).

What are other people doing? Loitering waiting to buy a Phantom? Staying away from the game because you can't bear honk and scan any more?

I'm semi-retired now so I work nights 4-on 4-off. Dec 11 falls on my "off" sequence. I'm on DSL so it'll be 11 AM eastern time (US) before I can even hope to see the server back on line and the download ready to roll on to my computer....which will take several hours.

I fully expect to be outside, raking leaves, hosing down the car, watching 8 episodes of Flash Gordon's Trip To Mars (Comet TV channel is running all that OOOOOOLD stuff for us OOOOOOLD people who remember that stuff), raking more leaves. etc. Most likely, I'll be home during this download.....
waiting.......

waiting.......
reading for the forums about how much fun it is / how much doom there is ......

I'm playing some games on my backlog.
They just released Kingdoms of Amalur in backwards compatibility on Xbox One and Subnautica just came out of game preview too.
Then there's my second walkthrough of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and.......ugh, to many......

I've got my fleet parked in my home system and have 2 billion credits in the bank, should be enough for a brand new Krait Phantom.

I've no idea where I will be in the ED galaxy as it's been 6 months since I played last.

My plan is to try the new Krait and maybe outfit it for exploration, and then head out into the inky black. Or I may not bother worrying and just take my already outfitted DBX.

Or I simply may not give a damn and return to my wonderful Cobra III and just go out to have fun.... stop..... think about it... then head home rapidly to exchange it for my Python and then head out again..... to have fun fun fun....

As far as the day 3.3 drops, I'll probably be doing something else while FD has problems with the servers. It'll take some hours longer than they expect due to unforeseen circumstances. Just like always.

They haven't met an estimated time yet as far as I can remember. I see no reason to expect them to now.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the live servers use a completely different seed number for distribution then the beta servers do to prevent exactly what you're planning on doing. So those discoveries you're wanting to "sit" on won't be there when it goes live.

So he couldnt fly to that system on live then when beta drops find the anomaly?. Im not really interested on being first or having my name on a system but why wouldnt the above method work?. (If my brainfart is correct it may not even populate that same system due to the differing seed number, if im thinking about it correctly).

To the OP , i'll be out in the deep making my progress towards exploration elite (pioneer so far).. i may be out for some time :)

Bindings menu.

Oh lordy! I just realised, the most important thing I should have done was write down my new key-binds before the beta ended.

If it turns out that beta key-binds get transferred across into the live game, that'd make me happier than anything else in the update. [blah]

Unless you made any changes after the beta, it should keep your settings. It uses the same file for both, at least this time.

I will be in space around an orange star and check if the Milky Way is a red mist or not, and if it is I will be very disappointed. If it's not I'll go straight to the forum and write a love letter to Fdev. After that it's Jameson Memorial and ourfitting my Krait Phantom, then some hopping for engineering and then... I don't know. Build a mining ship and try some asteroid fun? Not sure.

the procedural distribution of things like anomalies is based off an algorithm which uses a seed number as the base in which the distribution is mapped. If you use a different number then the configuration of the distribution is different, which means, if the OP moves his LIVE character to a location he found on Beta for the purposes of scanning it and getting his name on it. He's going to be surprised when he logs in and finds the anomaly isn't there in the live version of the game. So he will be wasting his time.

Crescent Sector GW-W c1-8 (Medusa’s Rock) been here for some time the last 2k back to the bubble just hasn't inspired me to move, I know the update is dropping soon so I might get back into ED but X4 is out and looking rather stable so I might be here for even longer.

Refreshing the forums every 5 seconds waiting for patch notes and hints it has gone live.
In game I'll be hanging about in free space waiting to start scanning everything in sight.
