Newcomer / Intro Where'd My Bounties Go?

I've not spent a lot of time engaged in combat since I started playing ED, but I have been doing a few "Kill Named Pirate" missions as an introduction. I had about ½ dozen Bounty Rewards that I hadn't got round to claiming and during my last expedition outside the Bubble, I noticed they had all vanished. I've now returned to my home station and they are still missing.

Is this a bug or the result of venturing out in to the Black before cashing them in?

Related Question: The reason I hadn't already cashed them all in was; I couldn't remember where some of the factions that offered the reward were located. Is there an easy way to see which system you need to head to to claim your reward?

Cheers,

(1) If I remember rightly, bounties expire.
(2) yes, at any interstellar factors located in lower security systems, though you will receive a lower reward.

Bounty vouchers disappear when your ship is destroyed.

You can find the location of factions using the search feature of inara.cz or eddb.io.

If the bounty vouchers don't show in your transactions tab in the cockpit then they have gone, I have never heard of them expiring but they are lost when you lose your ship.
At a station in contacts the only vouchers that appear are those that station contact can deal with so if you don't have any from the factions present none will show up.

I just got rid of some Imperial and Alliance Intelligence data at a Fleet Carrier at a similar cost to dealing with the Interstellar Factors so a Fleet Carrier might be another option for dealing with old bounties.
