Wheres my old ship?

Couldn't find any info anywhere.. may have over-looked however.

I recently bought a new ship and was just wondering how I go about getting into the other ship I was previously in?

Does it stay docked at the station I swapped ships?

I just cant find any relevent information in-game as to how to do this.

Right now you can stay in possession of only one ship, any other ship, if it has a value (all besides starting Sidewinder), is automatically sold.

Multiple ship ownership is, however, planned for later date to be implemented.

Currently there is no mechanic implemented to own multiple ships, but there will be in the final game. When you purchase a new ship, you trade in your old ship and it's value gets factored in the price.

You can purchase your old ship model back, and receive the price difference in credits if you buy a cheaper model. You will lose some money from buying an expensive ship and selling it, but the percentage is small / acceptable.

When we get to own multiple ship, I think we'll have the option to trade-in or buy new.

I personally going to keep all my old ships (unless I made a mistake or something) and probably wander around my hanger here and there thinking about which to take out today for a fly.

Each ship will be optimal for specific role or missions, so would be useful to keep them around if one want to do all sorts of different mission type.
