Where's my Platinum? (lost during transfer!)

The first place to look if your platinum goes missing is a ferengi called Quark.

Check under the weights in his refrigerator.

Happened to me for the first time yesterday.
Transferred 752 to T9 and it disappeared. tried everything - exit to main menu, exit to desktop.
After a few minutes it reappeared.

Tried again - same thing.

Tried smaller amounts (200) - worked fine, took 4 goes to get the whole lot but got it to 752.

Never ever happened before, although this is the first time in a long while using the FC to transfer stuff.

After mining some Platinum and transferring to my carrier, I was having this problem.

Discovered that a sell order had been set up on my carrier for the Platinum at base rate, which I assume was preventing the transfer back to my cargo ship for delivery to the CG. Never sold Platinum off my carrier before and certainly not at below market rate!

Once I had cancelled the sell order and relogged I was able to transfer all the Platinum to my ship in one go.

So worth checking if some random sell order has been set up without you knowing.

I had it last night, was able to process the transfer of 728t to ship, clicked confirm and carrier remaining cargo capacity adjusted correctly

But looking at ship inventory it was blank

A relog it was the same, when I go back into carrier inventory it is still there as though I haven't transfered

Transferring it in around 30t bits has worked pretty reliably. Going over 100t resulted in an error more often than not. YMMV.
No idea why the amount of tons would make a difference, but that's my experience.
