Sure there are things where im Not thrilled to See in the game and would prefer something else like the goddamn cougar everyone wants, i would take any northamerican animal over that thing, but that doesnt mean that i dont want it in the game, just that other animals are more important for me personally.

I don't want any specific subspecies that are clone of animals that we already have (I would like the American Flamingo tho), other than that i'm open to any species.
@Orque41 why you don't want Beavers?

I agree with you, anything is good :D I dont really want big fish like whales, but I want aquatic animals like manatee. And omg Beaver is so cool why wouldnt we want those! Imagine the animations how they build their water castles, so cute!!

Don't worry, it's a personal preference i can undestrand 😀, and from what i've read, the Beaver is not very common here in European zoos (I saw them for the first time at the Berlin zoo). In Italy we don't have a beautiful relationship with Nutrias since they're are a invasive species, i like them but if i have to choose one, beaver would take the spot 🦫.

1. Because I have never seen a Beaver in a zoo

2. If they really do, it wouldn't bother me but I would prefer to have a Nutria because I really like this species and I have often seen it in zoos sorry.
I have some in my local zoo, Oregon Zoo, in Portland, Oregon, US. Was actually just at the zoo last week and got to see them, but they weren't in a good spot for a photo sadly.

That's understandable, European Beaver still aren't in great shape. Actually there is some speculation that that with the near extinction in European Beaver, only individuals less likely to build dams survived, leading less dam building behavior than seen in American beaver.
Nutria are gorgeous animals, but they can be horribly invasive. They are becoming a bigger and bigger issue in the area. Sadly, people think they are cute, so they don't ask for control, lethal or otherwise as they do for beaver.

The talk about nutria makes me remember something...that acquaintance of my father once wanted to serve a nutria for a dinner. Like, I never heard of them being consumed, it freaked me out a bit, lol. In the end all the people that was supposed to be there said they wont eat such animal so he made a chicken or something, but he probably ate the nutria himself later.

Is that common? Never heard of nutria consumption before.

Why not the Gelada? They are getting more and more common in zoos these days.

They're an invasive species in the continental US, so I've heard of people hunting them for food.

Not super common, and efforts by individual U.S state have failed to generate demand. However, there is a dogfood company whose treats are made out of nutria.

I was getting crazy until I discover what a nutria is. The word nutria means otter in Spanish, so I was wondering why you all were suddelnty naming the otters in Spanish and nothing made sense :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

From what i know the nutria was introducted in Italy to make fur coats at start of 1920, later the fur coat industries started to fail and close, the owners decided to release all the remaining nutrias into the wild with the subsequent boom of reproductions. This produced a lot of damages to the agricolture and men started to hunt them, and yes in the past they were hunted and eaten, today the hunt is under control even if this remain a problem, the commerce of the meat is illegal, the personal use it should be legal, so i think that there's someone that may eat them even to this days.

You don't say "Any tetrapod, any invertebrate, any fish" on the 30 essential animals wishlist, so why do you not make a list on here?
Because nobody else did and I didn't think it mattered? Any particular reason you're hitting me up about it and not another poster?

The only animals I unequivocally don't want in the game are extinct animals (which doesn't necessarily just mean dinosaurs), cetaceans, or habitat fish such as sharks. Also animals that aren't kept in captivity, e.g. the kakapo or Javan rhinoceros.
