Which biome is be for "faking" desert, forest, and snow in the same map?

If I wanted to create a park that had a snow section and a desert section but was otherwise mostly green, which biome accommodates this best?

The arctic biome is the only one that has snow textures available. For different areas i find that the tropical biome works best

There are snow parts in the scenery too, so I guess one could use that to fake snow too.

It is difficult to fake snow and sand, as people generally use sand to fake snow! I agree with Helena that you should try with the fake snow pieces. I have been using them on the roof. With a little work, it can look nice.

Yes, sink them in ground and stack.

It is really same technique people used to make hills, before we could terraform.
