Which controller under VR?

Hi guys, I just started to play the game with VR enabled and wonder which controller would be the best choice, yet simple to setup and operate, as keyboard/mouse is not ideal for VR? Thanks!

HOTAS or HOSAS, however you will need controllers with enough buttons to bind everything you need.
I play with VR and HOTAS. Currently with VRIPIL Constellation ALPHA grip, their CM3 Throttle and their ACE Rudder Pedals. Before that i used Saitek X55 Rhino with Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals.
I have everything i need to play bound to a button on my controllers and i don't need to remove my headset during play which is really good if you want the immersion. ;)

OMG, sounds really impressive.....long way to go for me (y)

I use an Xbox 360 wireless controller - I think the “default context” setting works really well. Everything is mapped, with a few spare bindings as well, though the keyboard is still required for typing in chat or the Galaxy map. I usually just peep down the nose gap on my headset.

I tried getting into using HOTAS but I’ve been playing too long with the pad 😅

I have used an X56 stick and throttle, and am now using a VKB Modern Combat stick with the X56 throttle and voice attack. Both solutions worked well for me.
Whichever way you go, you will really need to spend some playtime memorizing the controls before you go into VR. For me that was a couple hours of mixed, little of this little of that, gameplay after changing my control setup. It may take you more or less time than that.

Voice Attack can be great, but sometimes remembering what the command is or one of the many variations of the command is a bit daunting if you haven't been playing regularly.

While playing with a HOTAS is highly recommended, it really pumps up the immersion factor, the biggest issue is finding one at a decent price.

I really struggle to recommend any particular setup though, most are either "reasonably" priced but prone to issues or very expensive but reliable. Most of the reasonable ones (if you can find them close to list price) will last you a couple of years with decent service and then you can at least see if you like using a HOTAS without spending a thousand dollars.

My setup is pretty inexpensive i think at least for Vr. Thrustmaster Hotas X with the occulus quest link cable. Works fine. I have voice attack but have yet to really use it. Still working out the bugs

I have the Saitek x52pro, I find it very good when in cqc. It takes a while to get used to and setting for your style but over all a good bit of kit. I recommend Dr.Kaii app for tweaking your visuals and such too.
