which faction is best

hi all,
im been offered a mission to advance a rank to the federation but after some research i found there are 3 faction federation, alliance and empire and was just wondering which is best, im loving the combat side of things at the moment.

opinions on pros and cons of each are very much welcomed

The Federation is about the continuation of the old traditions.
The Alliance is about independence, and diversity.
The Empire is about creating a new destiny for humankind.

Do note, only the Federation and the Empire has a rank system as of this time.

Don't think it really matters to be honest just pick the one that feels in line with your feelings

There is no best really. It's just down to what you want or like the sound of.

In practical benefits right now it's just down to some faction specific ships. Depending on your faction you can get the Imperial Clipper for the Empire and Federal Dropship for the Federation.
Alliance has no ships right now.

Other than that you get access to some star systems specific to the factions and that's about it.


There are no real benefits to joining any of them yet. It's just down to what you like the sound of.
If you're into your roleplaying, then just pick what sounds to your liking.
Federation is just your average greedy corporate run empire.
The Empire are the usual badguys with posh accents and slaves.
The Alliance are the rag-tag band of random planets trying to survive.
Lastly, as said before me you could just stay away from it entirely and be on everyones side and no ones side or your own side.

Alliance obviously. We don't care even if you ate your next of kin. As long as you helping us all to prosper - we will respect your habits. If you respect ours that is. Empire and Federation just want to turn you into slave for life. At least Empire didn't lie about it and they got some decree of honesty while admitting their unsatable ambitions, I give them that. We on the other hand offer equality among equals, compromise instead of conflict and unity isntead of discord.
