Which features I paid for ?

Unless stated elsewhere, we got what we paid for, if they didn't state cooperative play (the next update) they are within all rights to charge for it, but I don't think they will, the payments will come for major expansions. This however is assumption.

I thought cooperative play, "Wings", was v1.2, and we're still waiting on v1.1?

I wish they'd put up a patch roadmap. It's really hard to keep track of what's coming when. At least for things that have already been said to be in patches. Right now all the information on what's coming and when is scattered all over in staff posts.

For example, on kickstarter webpage you can read

"Multiplayer: you will be able to control who else you might encounter in your game – perhaps limit it to just your friends? Cooperate on adventures or chase your friends down to get that booty. The game will work in a seamless, lobby-less way, with the ability to rendezvous with friends as you choose. This technology is already working, using a combination of peer-to-peer (to reduce lag) and server connections."

I can't do this right now, so, part of my $$$$ is still on patches ?

"You will..." = future tense. Quit moaning and play the damn game :)

"The game is planned to be released on the PC in March 2014."

I know was released on Dec/2014, you know, means PAST not Future.

Just wondering what features should be working right now, no manual/guide shows this information.... i.e.

"You are at the centre of the action any time, any place and any way you choose – each action has a consequence, and influences the galaxy around you."
still don't know how my actions affects the 'galaxy'

I dont remember FD posting that they were done with current and further development with ED.

Thats the thing about kickstarter.. you MAY not get whats promised, your buying into the IDEA and CONCEPT, and with any luck final product when its completed.. ED is still working on the game.. no reason to think you WONT get what was there at some point

Group play lets you do exactly that.

the 42 quid backing looks like a steal now. Damn if only I hadn't missed the kickstarter, I would have pledged that. Such a massive boost to starting the game.

Exactly this. Once wing content is in, small private groups will probably have a huge surge so people can wing play without having to bother with griefers.

From your 2nd link: -

[h=3]This is just the beginning....[/h]This release of Elite: Dangerous will not mark the end of development.

We intend to continue expanding the game both with new content and new features.

To the OP.

Did you back the kickstarted or open beta or did you buy the game after its release?

I must admit, I am not an rich person with all that excess cash throw away in all directions. Nevertheless I don't care much how I spent my 50euros or so. I think that there are greater wrongs upon the Earth than my 50e which I spent on ambiguous promises about the sequel of the product I loved so much back in 80s.

In the case that I would be modestly wealthy person, I would have backed this from the kickstarter, but as I am not I bought the open beta as soon as I had those extra euros for it. However, I stand in confusion each time when someone here comes and complains about few euros they spend on the Novel technologies, of which the developers themselves do not control completely.

If DB would've been a magician, he would created his vision out of nothing. But as there are no wizards who create things ex nihilo, I still do appreciate Brabens effort to make a sequel to this wonderful game. Please try to understand that computing technology, especially gaming industry, is not very old field of technological expertise and forgive the miscalculations they mightve made. Speaking about myself, I still feel that I have awfully lot for those 60 euros I spent to back up the open beta. Seeing my self to go to the movies, a concert or whatever activity for the time I've spent on ED, I'd be lot poorer than I am right now :D
