Hardware & Technical Which HOTAS - I cant use pedals as i'm disabled

I need to buy a new HOTAS but I cant use pedals as I am disabled.

I was going to get a Warthog:

but it doesn't have a z axis for YAW and i'm not sure if I can use something on the throttle for yaw, can anyone advise how to get over this? Or should I use CH products as they have an analogue hat on the throttle?

Can anyone who uses a Warthog or CH Products without pedals offer any advice please?

Thanks for your help.

I use the Thrustmaster HOTAS-X. It's an excellent stick/throttle combo for the price, with more than enough buttons. When combined with Voice Attack it means I don't actually have to touch a keyboard again whilst flying (which is good as I use a VR headset).

Yeah, the HOTAS-X is fantastic. I'm planning on buying one to serve as back-up for my X52.

Currently i use the CH Products Pro Throttle and Fighterstick with a HMD. The Pro Throttle has a tiny analog joystick for the thumb. I put up/down and yaw on those two axis, the right/left steering i put on a digital coolie hat. That works well for me inflight and for landing. Important for that throttle is to use the full main axis for forward thrusters and one of the buttons to reverse thrusters. You have no 0 indicator in that axis but with the whole range on thrust the control is fine grained w/o looking.
I do plan to get pedals some day just to have that analog one for up/down left/right only. But it's not really necessary.

Thanks all for your input, I'm thinking I will get the Warthog Stick and TWCS throttle (It has nice large paddles for rudder control) when it is released in the UK. :)

Also have a look at the Saitek X52 Pro Flight System. I have everything mapped to this and never use the keyboard unless I need to type some thing in.

[hotas] The Logitech Extreme 3D is a solid joystick that includes a throttle and twist-for-yaw. Solid as they come and inexpensive but limited on buttons. I just got a Saitek/Mad Catz/Logitech (Logitech just bought Mad Catz) X-56 Rhino HOTAS and besides all the bad things you hear about it probably being true, once I got my replacement (yup!) it has so far been a solid HOTAS setup with twist-for-yaw plus more buttons and switches than I can map. Oh, did I mention the TWO (2!) EXTRA MINI-joysticks? One on the throttle and one on the stick. Yeah, it is not cheap, and IMO the perceived build quality is not up to the price but it is the most versatile setup available. [hotas]

... and TWCS throttle (It has nice large paddles for rudder control) ...
Oh wow, didn't knew that one. Nice idea that finger paddles for yaw.
I wonder if it blocks too many fingers from triggering buttons then.. or if that is a non issue because all that is needed in parallel is yaw and shoot really....

I have a Saitek X52, the old version.. they don't make them like that any more. 15 years, and still works. Although it has lost most of the rubber coating, and the scroll wheel on the throttle doesn't have a rubber ring anymore, it still works great. :)
