Newcomer / Intro Which is the fastest ship in SC ?

I note that other ships can travel faster than my wee Adder in SC . . .. and then interdict me :( I used to run away bravely but I got fed up of that behaviour and now I turn and fight , within reason - so how do these other naughty boys & girls catch up with me in SC huh? I've searched forum for an answer but nothing really shows up.

All ships travel at a max of 2001c, it's just that if you stay out of gravity wells and accelerate you tend to go faster.

Also you slow down when approching a destination and while you are slowing down your follower will catch up on you very fast and can then interdict you from around 100 Ls if he/she/NPC wants to...

Avoid the gravity wells of other planets. There is no other way to make your ship faster.

Theoretically, it's actually impossible to travel faster than the speed of light at all...
