Personally I'd love a Clipper or an Anaconda for the interesting details but if it was a "one only" type deal then the Cobra as it's such an Elite icon. The Python and Asp would be interesting too.

But I'd be more in favour of a showpiece collectors edition style one than an airfix style model kit. Sins of a Solar Empire did a great one a few years back even if it was a touch large :): http://i.imgur.com/31VaH.jpg
If I had my way there'd be a die cast model set. Obviously couldn't be to scale otherwise either end would be too small or big but I'm thinking keep all of them between 5x5cm minimum and about 20x20cm max.

I can dream :D

All the Core ships. Weather them like they been trough hell.

And i would put way to many waterslides on it.. just like my gunpla kits.

I chose the Anaconda, and I'd have to say the Python would be my next choice after that. I would likely purchase any of them that I've owned so far, if I could only get one of them developed and marketed.

Well a vote is helpful for me as I have motives :D . "All of the above" as an option doesn't help my research at this point!

I understand the size issue. As a scale modeler myself though I do have issues with things being out of scale with each other and it would make it a nice visual tool to see the various sizes between the ships.

All of them! What would be really cool, is if they came with weapon accessories (Cannons, Rails etc), that would snap/clip onto the models hull weapon mounts. You could then equip your model as per your in game loadout:) It would save me time scratch building weapons!

That my friend is a great idea. Let me just jot that down.

Has to be the Asp for me, it's just a great looking ship

I agree and I voted that ship myself with the DBX as a second for me.

No Federal Corvette?

No details about it yet so didn't add it at the mo.

Yeah I did a bit of rough calculating before my post. Too small and it becomes difficult to see or put details on and too easy to loose/break. With the sidewinder dropped in at 5x7cm the Anaconda would be 50x20cm, like half a meter of ship! :D
On the other hand if you make the Anaconda 30x12cm the Sidewinder would come out at 3x4cm which is remarkably tiny considering that it doesn't even include the Condor or Imperial Fighter.

Of course if this is ever extended to include stations then they'd be massive.
Also on the thought of a complete set, has anyone considered making lego versions?!? Theres a free download for Lego Digital Designer? (http://ldd.lego.com/en-us/) if anyone fancies making a set I will rep until the button refuses to be pressed :)

I voted (alone at the moment :( ) for the Python. I fly one. I think it's just the best looking ship in the game. So much so, that I won't be buying an Annie, even though I have the funds. My second choice would naturally enough be the Cobra, but only because it is THE Elite ship.

Yes Alex I did the calcs too. For a diecast set it would probably have to have floating scales that make each ship roughly the same size I guess. In any case I wasn't hinting at a full set for now hence the poll. If the mid sized ships were produced initially then later the large ones like the Anaconda or later the corvette can be specials that are huge, say 650mm or so (I actually have a 3ft long enterprise A on my workbench at the moment that's being built and that's awesomeness) and the smaller ones like the Sidewinder would end up around 60mm.

I actually have Lego designer on my PC. If I had extra time on top of all the other time fillers in my life I would certainly give it a go!

Although it isn't a ship I've use very often, I really like the more down-to-Earth design of the Diamondback Explorer, especially the engine setup.
