Which model ship would you like to see available to buy?

Try to choose the one youd like a model of not necessarily the one you fly at the moment!

Yes I've seen those 3D printed ones. I'm not that impressed really but then again I'm not keen on the sandstone stuff. I use 3D printing all the time but more in a finescale modelling arena with high quality print materials. These are very pricey though. What I am proposing with my kits are either injection moulded (airfix type) or resin cast. Both of which are very well detailed and to a good scale. The IM route is very expensive but would work if I can get enough sold. The resin is still very pricey but not as much as the IM so is more doable if interest is lower.

The problem with IM is that it takes a lot of money to get the moulds made. I am currently working on some other IM stuff for model railways but nothing made to send them really. I could scratch build something but not sure that would put across what I am trying to achieve although it would be awesome even if I do say so myself :D.

Hmmm, possibly buy a model kit or whatever made with the same technology (not sure how expensive they are) and send it with some printed screenshots of the Elite design and basically say same quality and idea but with a new design that is Elite. Send Zac another message :p

Also kickstarter style deal for the IM stuff? Possibly run via reddit/forums and paypal to avoid giving kickstarter the % they take.
Each backer gets a model if you get around enough money to make the moulds. If not but you get enough to make the resin models then that happens. If interest is truly poor and not enough to then everyone gets their cash back and we all move on.
