Which module effects Supercruise speed?

When I was trading, I found myself going through SC at a good sort of speed, which was cool.
However, when I kitted out for exploring, I upgraded my FSD drive from (I think it was) 6C to a 6A drive.
(along with a selection of other things)

However, I noticed that my ACCELERATION in supercruise has taken a hit somehow (which is a bit odd, since I have a better FSD and much lighter ship, etc - specced for long distance jumps etc).
So I found myself trying to figure out what changes the speed of acceleration in supercruise.
Does anyone know?

For reference, my thrusters haven't changed (7C)

No module affects your SC speed. Only the masses around you like planets, stars, etc.

As far as I'm aware there's no way you can influence your SC speed. It's all down to gravity wells, distance to target etc. As to whether different ships vary in speed in SC I don't know.

FSD upgrade is simply jump distance.

As above nothing *should* affect it since you are moving space around you when activating SC rather than your ship through space. <- At least I believe thats the lore of it.
Best way to test is to get yourself in Deep Deep space, I'm talking 10 minutes flying away from everything till your speed caps at 2001C.

Then drop from SC and fire up again, see how long it takes you to accelerate.

Do different ships have differing turning circles in SC though? I am fairly certain I've experienced that, but could of just been in my mind, and I seem to remember reading a thread on the FAS having super turning in SC when it was first released.

Different ships have different turn ability in super cruise, so this may be misleading you. Actual super cruise speed is universal, effected only by local planetary and stellar bodies gravity wells?

The FAS turning ability was a bug (handled like an eagle) has since been fixed apparently.

IMO acceleration and many other things in SC rely on what's around of you. All ships fly the same speed in SC, it's just their maneuverability which differs to great lengths. The star systems are dynamic, the orbit bodies DO orbit their stars/planets - so experience does vary even if you never leave one system.
