Which one to buy?

Hi guys.
I'm rather lost.
really want to get this game. At the moment I cant play it as only preorder is available.
But which one to buy?
Mercanery edition? Boxed edition?
Same thing?
Dont want to regret it later.

Just look over what is included with each to see which suits you better. Personally the Mercenary edition offers the best bang for buck as it comes with additional goodies including an Eagle IIRC.

If you have high speed internet and don't need/want a box sitting on your bookshelf to make a matching set with the previous 3 versions, just get the Mercenary Digital Edition.

Now if they had a collector's edition that came with a hand-painted statue of a Sidewinder for $200, I would suggest that one instead...

Note to FD: You really missed out on some money by not offering a collectors edition that comes with an Elite ship statue and other cool doodads. People would have been ALL OVER it.

You can't play the full game until December 16th but you'll be able to download the combat missions straight away.

The Boxed Edition is the Mercenary Edition + a box containing a DVD, game key & quick start manual. If you don't want/need a box and are happy to download the game in it's entirety then just go for the Mercenary Edition pre-order. (I'd fully expect the quick-start manual will be available in pdf form for digital downloaders).
