which ship to learn more of FAOFF?

which ship is good to train on FAOFF in combat?

i know the basics of FAOFF, boost-flip, enough to pve efficient in my python. but i want to get better. i'm not much of a combat pilot, and i'm not really good with my hotas, actually in my 25 years of gaming e:d is the first game i play with a joystick, but.

so i'm thinking about to get a smaller ship, and take it out into CZ to learn more on FAOFF.

what i have piloted till now:

a) eagle (loved it)
b) courier (not so happy, but maybe good for FAOFF?)
c) DBS (why need FAOFF with a DBS?)
d) Adder, t6, ASP (okay, not for combat...)

besides my python i fly a smuggling cobra.
is the

e) cobra

an interesting combat ship for FAOFF?

i missed out on
e) viper
f) vulture

any suggestions highly appreciated!

Why not a Sidewinder? It's cheap and it's not the most nimble so you can really see a difference between FA off versus say an Eagle which is zippy even with FA ON?

this is a very good idea - i more or less got out of the sidey as soon as possible - into an adder for exploration.

Follow this thread that I started, introduce yourself and I will reply to all your questions. additionally, there are others that are learning as well and they share their experience to help others. And to answer your first question, is not about the ship you fly is all comes down to the pilot himself.
