Which ships are you flying and why?

I flew alot of ships till this point, and im barely at the 2 months (give or take) time in this game, but fell in love with it!

ATM i fly the Kraith Panthom and im normally a guy to keep 1 ship only.
Despite that being more due to a economic hurdle than actual choice, but ill stick with 1 ship for now, despite having enough for more already (exploring is paying off, from bubble to SAGI A, to Colonia, and heading back to the bubble very slowly atm is good for the bank).

From all ships i have some favourites and i still want to unlock the federal corvette and own one (for combat off course, or maybe targoid hunting), but the one that stood out for various reasons was the Phantom, i was 2 days ago flying the anaconda, did all to reach it and was the ship i did the SAGI run with, but despite the long jump and all the goodies i can carry on it, performance wise, its a brick, wich the phantom is not, so i did away with max jump range and aiming for a fast, maneuvrable ship, and with good equipment, shields, guns, can handle almost everything.

Phantom is my thing, and with the new ship kit and paint it transforms totally, love the looks of mine atm.

Still nedd to work on equipment, on colonia u get almost nothing... When i get to the bubble i will deal with that.

I've been running my 2nd account and recently restarted from scratch.
So currently am flying the sidewinder.
It's a nice ship, even if you have to refit it for each task you want to do.
Currently it's in explorer mode complete with SRV Bay.
I have enough for a bigger ship now, but can't be bothered.

Cutter, cutter and only Cutter.

I fly her ever since I got her while back ago...

Why? It's powerful, it's fast, it's beautiful. It's safe.

Eagle of late.

Its paper. But it outdrags everything thats a threat. Can run sub 5% heat for entire engagements and has, by a country mile, the most challenging and rewarding flight model to master.

Just switched from having only Kraits to a bit more vareity.

Krait MkII (What Time is Love?) - Combat (especially CZs)
Asp X (Chuch of the KLF) - Exploration/taxi
Imperial Clipper (3AM Eternal) - Cargo missions
Orca (Train to Trancentral) - Passengers
Python (Go to Sleep) - Piracy/salvage
Type 10 (Its Grim up North) - Mining
Federal Dropship (Ford Timelord) - SRV Carrier/Planetary jobs (holds 8 SRVs)
Cobra Mk3 (Doctor in the Tardis) - Rescue ship (refuel/repair limpets)
Viper Mk3 (No More Tears) - Courier/Racer

I just recently made it to Sagittarius A* in my lightweight exploration build Krait Phantom. I was originally planning to head for Beagle Point, but I had a change of heart, and instead decided to make my first ever visit to Colonia.

I've been in so few stations recently I almost forgot what to do there! But arriving at Jacques really felt good, like seeing history. Even seeing 2 Belugas get stuck on the toast-rack and destroyed before I even got in couldn't put me off!

Back in the bubble I was starting to get that 'everywhere looks the same feeling', but believe me things look different out here. It's so much closer to the center of the galaxy, so the star field is much denser. The light is different, the colors. There are wonderful vistas and amazing things to see.

The system contains a number of stunning Lagrange Clouds in which may be found Notable Stellar Phenomena, including bizarre 'Umbrella Molluscs' which emit haunting alien sounds and will react if you shine your ships lights on them.

I'm enjoying myself here and may decide to stay a while, explore, get to know the locals and meet the new engineers. I may even decide to blow some Void Opal money and have one or two of my other ships sent over, (you really have to pay through the nose for that, but it can be part of the challenge of carving out a place here.) OA has a great video which recounts some of the history of the place, but it's slightly out of date, as there were no engineers here then.

Dbx- for getting around be bubble quick and picking up stuff and for poping down to the store for milk .... this is my favorite ship - flow 60k+ ly in this little scrapper and done everything with her ... just love this ride

FDL - engineerd for missions that require some pew pew ... fun ship that needs a little tlc when flying ... jump range make me want to cry ( g5 engineering)

Type 7 transporter and 9 heavy - really basic mods to fly and pray and move stuff around .... basically they do the job and have an onboard bathroom

Diamondback Explorer - "Argo"
Multiple uses. Courier missions/SRV stuff/Exploration/Sightseeing tours. Most used ship.

Fer-De-Lance - "Iron Fury"
Combat

Type-6 - "Not For Hire"
Material gathering/salvage/S&R

Type-7 - "Early Bird IV"
Space Truckin' (I make most of my money this way)

Federal Corvette - "FNS Tiger's Claw"
Federal Navy Role Play. Combat/RES

Krait II "The Bolsh" - main all rounder, mission runner, exploration (because I like to take all my toys into the black), finding stuff (permits, engineers, mats, etc)

Type-10 - shooting missiles at stuff (it looks cool and the boost sounds great), cargo missions

Asp Explorer "Metallurgist" - core mining specialist (nimble in the 'roids, packs all the hardpoints needed and I get bored easily trying to fill large cargo hold)
