Which underrated animals do you want to be added to the game? Like animals with not many votes on the Meta Wishlist or that aren't popular.

Mine would be White Tailed deer as it has 5 votes and I haven't seen people talk alot about it alot, and I do think it's an animal that’s still missing, as I have seen it in MANY zoos, and we need another North American deer.

Another animal I would love is the Hawaii Goose as we need more birds, but also having it would be such a nice and unique animal. It only has 6 votes, so I don't see it possibly being in the game, but I do hope it gets in.

The alligator snapping turtle would also be such a nice fit as we do need more reptiles, and it would be such a unique animal. It has only 11 votes, so it has more chance of being added.

The North American River Otter and the North American Porcupine are some animals I would want and need in the game as I need more North American animals in the game. The North American River Otter has 8 votes and the North American Porcupine has 9 votes.

Another undarated pick that I would like is the Cuban cocodrile as we do need more reptiles, and it would be such a great animal to see. It has 5 votes on the wishlist.

Eurasian wildcat. I pretty much exclusively build zoos in the UK, and most commonly in Scotland. The Scottish wildcat is a key conservation species in the country and I always feel its absence. Naturally the Scottish wildcat is taxonomically ambiguous, so if the animal made it in it would likely be the general Eurasian wildcat.

Then there are the clones:
  • Sumatran tiger.
  • Asiatic lion.
  • Eurasian wolf (done properly - the current timber wolf technically is the Eurasian wolf, just as it technically is a medley of North American wolves, but I'd like the actual Eurasian wolf).
  • Nubian giraffe.

Black-Backed Jackal - This one is self explanatory I guess

Southern Tamandua - still somewhat popular, but not that high on people wishlists. A smaller arboreal anteater would be rad.

Off the top of my head, I would say the Tibetan Fox. It is in my top 20 wishlist and only got votes from 5 people (including me) in the met wishlist. I love its judgy face and I need this diva so I can make an enclosure just next to the one of Palla's Cats. They would have been perfect in the Asia pack, especially as the pack description says "From the dense rainforests of Southeast Asia to the misty peaks of the Himalayas" and there is not a single species living in the high altitudes of Himalayas in this pack.

There are quite a few uncommon animals with low popularity that I'd like to see in game (some of whom have already been mentioned here), but I also think we are missing quite a few key "vanilla" animal that are very common in their environment to the point people living around them see them as background or even a nuisance, that I think should be in game specifically because they're so common and should in my opinion be particularly appreciated for their capacity to share their habitat with many other species. For instance, the impala, vervet monkey, rhesus macaque, European rabbit, European roe deer, Virginia opossum, etc.

Most of my most wanted are fairly popular picks, but I could break down my oddball wants into three distinct categories:

North American species that many find boring/redundant
  • White-tailed deer (seems to be picking up momentum but it's always been crazy to me that it's so much less desirable than the ABB, for instance)
  • North American river otter
  • Harbor seal
  • Virginia opossum
  • American badger
  • Ringtail
  • Wild turkey
  • Sandhill crane
Japanese species
  • Japanese badger
  • Masked palm civet
  • Sika deer
  • Tsushima leopard cat
  • Japanese serow (decently wanted, but including here for thoroughness)
"I just think they're neat"
  • Common genet
  • African civet
  • Numbat
  • Ring-tailed vontsira
  • Black-footed cat
  • Yellow mongoose
  • Tayra
  • Greater grison
  • Red and white giant flying squirrel

I'm really sure we will get in maybe a North America pack or maybe a forest pack (I'm not good at naming packs) The White-tailed deer and the North American River Otter as I do think they are really common and important to left out of the game. I also see the Harbor seal as it's the most common seal specie in zoo so yeah I see it's really likely it enters to the game.

Of your neat picks I see the Numbat entering as I could say it's an animal that this last few years has gotten a bit more popular.

If I should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you every step of the way

And I will always love you
I will always love you
You
My darling, you, mm-mm

Bittersweet memories
That is all I'm taking with me
So goodbye, please don't cry
We both know I'm not what you, you need

And I will always love you
I will always love you
I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you've dreamed of

And I wish you joy and happiness
But above all this, I wish you love

And I will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
I will always love you
I, I will always love you

You
Darling, I love you
Ooh, I'll always, I'll always love you

Quite a lot of my most wanted animals are more low-key picks.

The coconut crab is my most wanted animal overall at the moment, and while I believe it is in the top 100 on the current meta-wishlist, it doesn't get discussed a lot since it's obviously a pretty unprecedented sort of animal, especially as a habitat species... but that won't ever stop me from crossing my fingers and wishing.

Some other personal faves that I'd call underrated are...
  • The demoiselle crane. People are definitely down for a new crane as far as I'm aware, but with so many options, the one I think looks the prettiest isn't usually the frontrunner in that discussion. If only we had gotten an India pack...
  • The pygmy hog. We probably have enough pigs in-game for most people to be satisfied, but these guys are awesome! They're an obscure species in general, super rare, and adorable on top of that.
  • Non-rockhopper penguins. Penguin displays in real zoos typically mix multiple species; the three we have in-game aren't really suitable for that, like, at all. For that reason, I'd love more, even if they're slightly redundant. The rockhopper is the most popular penguin not in-game yet, but I would be happy to get the Humboldt, Gentoo, or even the chinstrap, which is my personal favorite penguin.
  • Literally any exhibit invertebrates. I've discussed this before, but I love-love-love silly and weird bugs/bug-adjacent critters. Unfortunately, in PZ, they're trapped in the exhibit system. Nobody really likes said system, and Frontier has seemingly given up on giving us more exhibit animals as part of DLC packs... so, one of my most wanted features in a prospective PZ sequel is a better exhibit system that would hopefully come with an expanded roster of arthropods, so we could build proper insectariums in our zoos! Among them, though, the ones I'd be most excited to see in PZ are:
    • Any and all cockroaches.
    • Any and all phasmids (leaf insects and stick insects).
    • Any and all mantids.
    • The giraffe weevil.
    • A horsehead grasshopper.
    • A giant weta.
    • A solifuge ("camel spider").

I would love to have the Pgymy Hog in the game as it's so cute and would make a really nice fit in some areas. I would also love any type of penguin species. I don't care as long as we get another Penguin, but my favorite Penguin species are the Rockhopper Penguin, Humboldt Penguin, Adélie penguin and the Galápagos penguin.

A bunch of birds: argus and Reeve's pheasants, palawan peacock pheasant, painted stork, saddle billed stork, seriema, torrent duck, king Eider, Ruddy and ashy headed geese, black necked swan, damoiselle crane...

And some mammals: aardwolf, owston palm civet, african civet, giant ground pangolin, giant armadillo, huemul, pampas deer, marsh deer, waterbuck, bushbuck, canadian lynx, black-backed jackal, grey fox, South american sea lion, chinchilla, dusky leaf monkey, red shanked douc, Francois langur, patas monkeys...

I have 2 options
  • The Guanaco (we need at least, 1 Wild camelid, In a way, it helps us see how the llama and the alpaca derived)
  • Any Penguin from Antarctic (I love Penguin 🐧 😍, But we need one that comes from colder environments (the King Penguin doesn't count). And personally, I don't like rockhopper penguins (I find them ugly). If they ever make a cold-focused DLC again, I'd like to see the Gentoo Penguin or the Chinstrap Penguin.)

Sadly, I found that The Guanaco Only has 13 votes in The wishlist (And One of those Is mine), AND both The Gentoo and Chinstrap Penguins only have 9 and 6 each others)

I could say hyrax, but they are quite popular now, so I have some other choices

Southern Screamer: a cool, simple, and very versatile bird, can be good for tropical houses, mixed habitats, etc

Kori Bustard: similar benefits to the previous bird, but in Africa

Sunbittern: a cool little bird that also fills a similar niche to the screamer, but smaller

Spotted Genet: They're just cool

Marabou Stork, Mountain Tapir, Visayan Warty Pig, and Bearded Pig all seem sadly underrated to me 😔 I don't even think the Mountain Tapir or Bearded Pig are on the current Meta Wishlist! Thankfully these animals have solid and convincing mods made of them already, so I'm not too sad they probably won't make it.

Just look at this little guy! He'd make a great addition to the game, I'm sure, even though we already have a ton of pigs.

I made a DLC and I included the Visayan Warthy Pig, I think they are incredible animals!

Do you know if I can make my top 26 for the Meta Wishlist? Btw I did a Latin America DLC and I included the Guanaco they need to be in the game.
