Newcomer / Intro White dwarf boost

hey there,
ive recently been trying to get to deciat in my dbx and i get routed through a white dwarf star to boost my fsd. done that twice before and got to colonia and Sagittarius A* via neutron stars and some white dwarfs, however, this time with the same setup, my fsd only operates beyond safety limits without chargig and getting closer led to me getting on a loan again. Am i doing something wrong or is there anything else i can do?

White Dwarfs (Dwarves?) are notorious for this kind of behaviour. Your best chance to survive is to fly into the cone very very slowly* if you are determined.I usually just go around/ ignore them.
*by which i mean circle round to the open end and fly in towards the star rather than the oblique approach flying outwards along the cone.

I must concur with the above posters. White dwarfs are a deathtrap. Unlike neutron stars they are massively more dangerous and less effective for even jumping anyway. Avoid them like the plague.
