lol Am not voting either,due to hating that term (although i have Jonty as a friend, and seems a nice guy)
and while we are at it i don't like "doing a Dave!" either! its my name!
Anyway i went from £30 steadily upwards, and eventually ended at £100 at the last minute, couldn't resist the first round private beta test.
I pretty much did the same thing I pledged just over 100 quid because I needed international shipping for the boxed edition set thingy

lol i upped it again since that post, went to Founder level...must stop!!!! hehe......mind another £50 gets Alpha testing! Hmmm
No! i could, but Beta is fine for me, and yes Thingy box should be good(shame you have to pay shipping) but be worth it, hope it has a star chart in it.

Originally I chose a pledge, and then had to DOWNGRADE due to my financial situation. It got to the point where all I could afford was the base 5 pound decal pledge.
Then life made an upward turn and I took advantage of it to Jonty up to the Imperial Eagle level. Now, with some more secure finances I plan on upping some more! I originally thought about just going to the second beta, but lets be honest here, how can I NOT go for the free DLC and packaged copies of the game?
It really is quite addictive, but also quite memorable due to how things have shaped during Elite Dangerous. Now matter how good the game is, I'll always remember it just for the things that happened in my life during that Kickstarter. I'll remember the bitter disappointment of not being able to affording a higher pledge, and the satisfaction of 'Jontying up'.
Anyhow, enough rambling out of me, shouldn't get so attached to a piece of software of all things.

I didn't up my bid. I spent time looking at all the options available to me, decided i wanted the most basic start i could get (did the same in Star Citizen, i like building my ship/char up from the base) but i also was wanting the same type of game experience we had in Frontier and FFE, so that means planetary landings, which means expansions.
I also didn't want any physical goods, on ethical (Chinese/Indian child sweat shop) or environmental (more produce = more pollution) grounds, so wanted an all digital option.
So £80 it was, which is about the most i've spent on a game (including a few expansions).
What i plan to do at a later date, and this depends very much on what kind of Elite experience Elite: Dangerous is for me (if i like it or not, if the SP is too weak due to the MP etc), is donate extra for each expansion pack as they come out and i try them, even though my bid covers all of them.
