If you remember the e-mail address (and still have access to it) associated with the old CMDR you should be able to at least attempt to log in to:
www.frontierstore.net
.... and, if necessary, use the "Forgot Password" link there to regain access to the store account. The same login credentials are used to log in to the launcher.
