Who els has issues having fun in "other" games since Elite Release?

Im one of those fools that is buying all blockbuster games. Now im in tough luck that the blockbuster games on XboxOne are somewhat, "coming in the dozens" this season..

But somehow, i burn out all those games before i even digged through the surface of those games.

I always, have to convince me to boot up other games like Fallout4. Or Battlefront.

Im not even interrested anymore in Tombraider, Quantum Break, The Divison, all games i used to be very hyped for.

All i need now-a-days, is Elite Dangerous.. (Cant wait for Horizons though)

i've played some f4 and im allways thinking..."oh man, later i will play elite"^^ and i do.
It's a 30.99 game .... for a console game this is cheap...mega hyper super mega meter cheap
and you get so much for your money ... i mean just look at star wars casualfront ...

so yeah im having those issues too.

I actually play Elite a lot less than I used to which was 24/7 lol
ED has got a bit of a grind for me now, although it does draw you back after a while.
I still do my weekly level 4 merits to keep my hand in.
Fallout 4 takes a lot of my time, and just got Rainbow Siege 6 which I will also put some time into.
Battlefront has a little of my time but is pretty shallow and only good for a quick blast fest.
Will play Black ops 3 again when I've had my fill of all the others as will probably prestige that a few times.
Mad max didn't get much play time as did Fifa 16.
GTA 5 got put on hold ever since ED came out and will probably stay on hold now its peaked in content but mainly because of passive mode.
Deleted my digital copy of Elder scrolls online as I just hated it.
Hardly touched the Witcher 3.

As you can see I buy pretty much all the hot releases.

There aren't many I will always come back to but ED will definitely be up there.
Roll on Horizons.

Well, I did not buy Fallout 4 or Battlefront, because they are meh. Not my type of theme.

I thought that myself but Fallout 4 - WOW what a game. So addictive.
Star Wars - well yeah very limited lifespan and I wont be buying any DLC for that one.

Battlefront is cool for a quick blast indeed..

Fallout4 is awesome, but somehow, i can't get past lvl 19 with it.. Made 2 characters, one is lvl 19, (the game did not even started at lvl 19) and i just cant make myself to boot up the game. 60 bucks, burned out on it after 30 hours..

Elite: 30 bucks, since release, still hyped for it.

Me. Since elite came out I've barely played anything else. Lost interest in fallout and still haven't got around to even buying it. I've played a few rounds a week on battlefield and got nearly halfway through the old tomb raider. Other than that nothing else has really got a look in. And I don't even mind. I love elite that much and am so thankful fd did the port. Might as well rename it elitebox one lol.

Level 27 now but taking my time building a base with trip mines and all sorts of other goodies.
Crafted some very nice weapons, and have a lot of supply bases set up now.
Hell I even bought the official Fallout 4 Survival guide.

For the money though Elite is by far the best bang for buck and for that reason blows everything out of the water.

Just a thought, but maybe this tells more about the whole industry (especially on consoles) than on Elite. No offense Elite, I'm enjoying you very much. I think we just need more games like this, and I really hope this marvel of a game will develop into something even more thrilling during next few years. (and I seriously hope there's enough Xbox One sales to make them through on consoles).

I'm a long-time Fallout fan and of course I had to spend some 48hrs in-game time wandering through the wasteland. However, in the end I felt I'm just doing missions where I go somewhere, kill the mutants/bugs/ghouls etc. and loot and go back to red rocket putting all the stuff to a container.

I like tweaking a lot in games and obviously games where you can tweak a lot - and there's a whole lot difference in painting your power armor and choosing what kind of sight you have on your 10mm pistol compared to Elite, where you really can build your ship. Heck, we don't even have skins yet on Xbox. Definitely, ED has gotten many things right, that's why I play it.

I have no problem playing other games if they're good enough. I still blast around Dirt 3 multiplayer rallycross, that is a blast and always will be. I played through Alien: Isolation even after buying Elite: Dangerous. I'll play Thief when it's on Games For Gold on the 16th but there's nothing quite like settling down in my gaming chair, headphones on, beer to my right, and starting up my spaceship.

I love this game

Fooling around in ED is a unique experience. Some people can't do it (lots of threads about that), but I love it.
And as far as spacesims go ED is the only option for me at the moment.
Perhaps SC will turn out to be worthwhile, but I will see if that is true in few years.
By that time ED will be even more interesting than it is already and for years to come it will be the only spacesim that generates a very realistic galaxy in a 1:1 scale.

I do play other games to, but I am drawn back to ED all the time.

I do love Fallout 4 too. It is very addictive.
But I did postpone buying Assassin's Creed, and Just Cause for ED.
I just do not have the time to play them all now.

Because of ED fallout 4 has been quite neglected. Also not overly impressed with it, some of it feels lazy and or was rushed, mostly texture issues, still bugs the hell out of me when it is next next Gen and there are worse textures in the game than gta3 for ps2. Oh and how about that stupidly lame moon gif animation with a green box around it. That all being said it is a fantastic game everywhere else buuuuuuut.... skyrims better😛

I have fallout 4 as well and hardly touched it. I think I am a level 3 or 4. Then again ED isn't my only game as I play Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed, NBA 2k, Battlefront, Raindbow 6, and throw in a little of destiny.

Then again I try not to play the exact game two days in a row so everything stays fresh and I don't get burned out. However with most shooters they are a blast when a group of my friends get on and we play and have no regrets about not playing ED. However when my squad isn't on those games aren't really fun with people who have no idea how to play a team based game.

ED is great, but I'm a gamer, so I enjoy playing everything. I will be getting Fallout 4 and Rainbow 6 very soon and they will occupy a lot of my time. I will still get on ED and run some smuggling routes, or hit a HAZRES or CZ. I really enjoy any COOP experience, so any game that has that included is a plus for me.

Just had Alien: Isolation delivered from Amazon, although I can't find any time to actually play it. Space beckons me and I answer the call every time. Thanks, Elite!

Today is a day I need to hop on elite. Been like 3 days plus this is the last day before PP and I need to keep my rank 5...
