Who else is deleting + uninstalling to do a fresh start?

Unless I misunderstood the Steam page, I'm thinking there is the possibility to switch art style during gameplay, incl (hopefully) the "campaign" mode, to 1993-style. I decided I wanted to opt for a fresh start, with a permanent style switch once possible.

Who else is doing this? Any further insight about the scenarios this option will become available?

Unless I'm massively misunderstanding things, there is no point in uninstalling and going back in. Just start a new run of the campaign if you want to do that. It's going to be like Claire's Sanctuary in a new campaign option. All the wipe and reinstall would do is mess with what you have available in sandbox and, possibly, any of the challenges you've completed...which is kind of pointless since you can replay them anyway.

Yeah, it'll be a separate save file anyway for the new Campaign, (like the Claire's Sanctuary Campaign).

It's not really like a filter or anything either, you'd likely have to choose the if you want the Return to JP style for each individual thing in the normal campaign (allowing you to mix and match the JP and JW styles).

Once you've completed 4 stars in the Retunr to JP campaign, you'll probably be able to use the Return to JP assets in the normal campaign (though you'd have to unlock them through research I imagine, so the early campaign on Matanceros and Muerta would look very similar to base game still).

You don't have to delete a save if you feel like you want to restart your parks. You can always restart the maps themselves. Anything you've researched and any genomes you've acquired will be saved.

Here's something, I have no plans for any dream parks yet, meaning all my parks in my campaign saves are merely what I call "progression parks" because I know more new content you can add to them will come in the following years, and the fact I merely made those parks of mine just to unlock everything I can. Once I've unlocked everything, and ensure that more content adding support for the game ends for what ever year, I will restart all the campaign park maps so I can truly make my dream parks from the ground up with everything I've unlocked in my hands already. It's very simple without the need to delete any saves at all.

By "restart" you mean "demolish everything"?

I deleted all of my sandbox and challenge maps so that when the new update comes, I could start fresh with the new legacy skins, JP assets, pteranodon and compsognathus, and bathrooms. I do not believe uninstalling helps (I am on PS4), but I do not want to unlock everything again from the challenge mode skins to the Claire's sanctuary content and the sandbox maps and content as well.

In case I lose challenge mode skins, I'm not gonna cry - much. The achievements are there anyway. And I hope the DLCs I don't have go on sale when this one comes out, I'll buy them in one swoop.

Well I bought and installed a new 4TB SSD a few weeks ago so I have already done the whole uninstall and reinstall. But there isn't really a need to uninstall the game.

No.

By restart, I mean going to the pause menu screen and choose “restart island. It’s a very simple way for you to restart a map. Progress on that map will be lost, but research and genome acquiring will be saved.

Unless i am mistaken, i believe they said we will have the possibility to use the JP style in The Sandbox and Challenge mode, i doubt they will change the normal campaign as it is bound to Jurassic World rather than Jurassic Park. Please correct me if i am wrong, i just don't remember finding such information anywhere.

The exact wording is "challenges" rather than Challenge Mode.

Maybe because we have many islands on challenge mode, each island might be considered a separate challenge, i highly doubt that they will allow us to use such feature on the main campaign, but i have no actual proof, it is mere speculation. Frankly, i prefer the main campaign look as it is, but i don't mind them adding an option for players to choose which aesthetic they want.
Can you send me the link about this 'Challenges', i can't find it in the description of the dlc neither on this forum nor on the official website. The steam page says exactly 'Challenge and Sandbox levels' referring to the different islands on each mode.
Also, i forgot to mention, there is no need to delete and uninstall, it will just remove the game files, and it will take you sometime to redownload them again, you can just go and start a new campaign, you won't have any research or progress on this new file, and you still get to keep the unlockable skins from challenge mode within this campaign, you also won't need to re-do claire's campaign to unlock its content into your new main campaign.

I can't find it right now, gimme a little bit.

It was stated by Steggs you will not be able to use '93 assets in the main campaign or "mix & match" JW and JP styles. You will only be able to use one or the other for Challenge Mode and Sandbox unfortunately
