Any EA or prebuilt ship that you redeploy will be exactly the same as it was when it was first deployed. All added engineering or changed modules will be lost.

Only if you are rebuying the ship will you get it back equipped as it was when destroyed.

At the end of the day, i'm not really losing anything by waiting, i've got one of every ship (including the CM4) so plenty of choice. I can wait for any new ships, as long as it sticks to 3 months.

If FD ever start making the wait time longer or start locking them behind ARX only, at that point it would cross a line i'm not willing to accept.

That was my understanding so I didn't see the "deploy anywhere" benefits that many CMDRs mentioned. I never want to lose all the engineering.

The main benefit comes from the Stellar EA ships because they are pretty well equipped and if you like the build the PB ships*, as they can be used with minimal or no engineering. So you can deploy use dispose of and then when needed. This could be handy on expeditions for example.

*Though forum opinion of those builds is pretty low.

I can fly my 70Ly souped up hauler to Colonia, instantly spawn my 1000T+ cargo, completely A Grade Panther.
Do whatever missions need to be done.

Despawn the Panther Clipper back into my pocket and fly home.

It's like the instant ramen of spaceships: Just add water.

Or how about this.... I need to ship materials 300 Ly to a destination port.

Fly to source port in my Stellar A grade Mandalay, despawn it... Spawn my Clipper... Fly to destination with 1000T+ of goodies...
drop them off... despawn my Clipper... Respawn my Mandalay.. 4 jumps back to the source.

Absolutely UNRIVALLED and completely endorsed play style.

--edit; on reflection, I decided to remove the bit about P2W and RIP poor people in CGs.

you have just done an absolutely stellar job (see what i did there? ) of explaining everything which is wrong with these cash ships in elite imo. good work!.
