Who else would buy die cast ships for display from the frontier store?

I would. Ship models were actually a promised reward for some of the Kickstarter reward tiers, wonder what happened to those. I was particularly interested in the cut-away models, which would reveal some of the ship interiors.

I dont know why this hasnt been done. Seems like Frontier would want to profit on the merchandise aspect of the game besides what little is in the store.

OH!
Wait!

You're serious - aren't you?

Why are people so keen on plastic? Die-cast says so much more quality. Ok, it might be old fashioned, but at least I'm not asking for it in lead.

Yep. Diecast, plastic doesn't matter I'll take it. My computer room is full of gaming junk, star wars legos, loot gaming junk. You'd think its a teenager's room.

They never got them. Liqua (who named the Founder's system) is currently taking Frontier to court over it and other broken promises I believe.

He doesn't post here any more.

I would buy all of the physical elite related objects!

(I just cry when digital literal hue value changes are several quid!)

:)

What I think would be really cool is enamelled Elite badges (oh damn, I just had to do the loop of shame while typing), only for Commanders who actually achieve that status of course. I believe they had these in 1984, but they stopped giving them out before I achieved Elite.

Quality? Not IMO. Every die-cast toy I've ever seen just screams cheap. And if someone did make a highly detailed cast model of the Corvette, at least a foot long to display on my desk, I probably couldn't afford it.

That and a plastic model allows me to customize as I build. Like I did with airplanes and cars. :)
