who has hit boost while docking their 6 million dollar ship??? :eek:



LMAO I just did it but its typicial half 'tanked' behaviour for me tho hitting the wrong key with my oh so phat fingas???

I am so glad I am in a cobra, my shields held while I Bounced around the docking platform (inside a station) like a ping pong ball...

no damage beyond my pride thankfully...

What about you guys n gals???

Try doing it in a lakon 6. Then youll know pain :)

Sneaking into stn silent mode on when scanned - panicked and went full throttle and for some unknown reason hit boost - just about in the cattle grid.

Then went sensible throttle down silent off flipp over max to shields full speed when flipped and almost stopped I say almost i splatter still

What gets me is how I paniced the boost then went super efficient in button presses to slow me down!
Still one lost asp and 70t of bertrandite and 10t of artefacts.

Only good thing was I beat the scan!!!

thats what I was doing hahahahaha as I had decended to the pad I got the lg warning so I fumbled for the button hahaah anyway it all ended well... the half a mill or so I spent on shields was well worth it for the laugh of watching the cobra bounce around the pad like a pinball while the shields in the end only dropped at most 1/2 of the first bar (read that as 2 full bars and the outer bar partly dimmed towards red)

And for those that might think cobra != 6M ship... Yes my cobra is worth over 6 mill as an asset, like I said I am so glad I did not do this in the asp I sold to build the cobra :) does anyone know if the particle cannons are any good????

glad you beat the scan... did you try a flip and rehit boost???
yeah panic is the real killer I think... I was too busy laughing to panic too much

Yes I learned that lesson the hard way, after accidentally boosting into the control tower... with my Lakon Type 7... loaded up with 200 tons of Gold. 5 mil or so in cargo losses and insurance. No more drunk space trucking.

I hilariously thrusted vertically too much as I was exiting the docking letterbox and just smashed into the top and ricochet up-down-up-down to the awe of some starter sidewinder CMDR's epic double take. XD.

yeah I have done something similar in a type 6, launch from back... line up (or so you think) then max throttle and boost the second after only to find you were not quite lined up... or even worst (yes this has happened to me too) boosted into an incoming anaconda and desintegrated
