A head on boost ram by a NPC Federal Dropship in combat when i was in a Cobra.

And twice boosting into a Station wall in a unshielded Imperial Clipper carrying a full load of Palladium.

Only 1 insurance/death. I was in the dark side of a planet in an asteroid field. Literally never saw it; was engaged by an NPC, hit boost and pulled back on the stick. Splat...

I've been destroyed twice in combat.

The other five insurance claims were collisions. Two with careless NPC's at stations that rammed me with Type-9's back when I had a small ship. Once I was shot on a pad when docked and destroyed?(!) and twice I mistook "reverse" for "boost" and came to a sticky end.

So seven insurance claims in all.

I don't remember, to be honest. I definitely died in Beta, I can't recall if I've died in the full release yet. Game's down at present, so I can't check my stats.
I don't think I've died. Though it's hardly to my credit seeing as I'm a trader.

12 Times as of last night ( I play in open), that is since game release, was interdicted last night by a Command thought I had got away into SC but was interdicted by the same commander a 2nd time, while on my way to the nearest station, (had canopy breach and 35% hull integrity), this commander was in an Imperial Clipper I was flying a Diamondback Scout.

Edit: I did learn something from this little encounter and that is I need to get better then other players;-)

90 mil in insurance claims and I still like to boost through the letterbox.

I respect those who haven't died. But maybe practising fancy maneouvres make me as well prepared for Thargoids.

3 of my 6 deaths were caused by me being an idiot, 1 by an NPC, and 2 caused by players during the Quivira CG

1. I just got the game and I had a fuel scoop on my sidewinder, when I ran out of fuel in a brown dwarf cluster. I had no clue I couldn't scoop from them, so I had no clue why I couldn't get gas. I then self destructed just to get it over with.

2. I boosted into an asteroid in my viper like an idiot.

3. I got my thrusters blown up and my canopy destroyed by an NPC Anaconda I just killed while still in my viper. I was new when that happened so I had no clue what repair/reboot did. I spammed the thrusters on and off (that will come in to play for my 3rd death) but I eventually self destructed.

4. I had just rebought from the death stated above, and when I launched, I couldn't move. My thrusters were still off. I had spammed the on/off button one too many times, and I had no clue that was what happened, so I self destructed inside the station.

6. Literaly 1 minute after the last one, the same thing happened.
