Who is bored silly with Elite while waiting for Odyssey?

Reset the alt account and doing my best to only make credits dishonestly. Was doing a lot of stealing with the Viper IV and enjoying it, but engineer unlocks got me to refit it for core mining. I haven't core mined in a while, and at 32 tons a pop it is actually pretty fun and fast. Three cores and I'm out of there. Making too many credits with it though! I might just leave the Viper as is and try out a DBX for piracy next now that I'm worth tens of millions.

It's a nice change of pace to be flying around in very vulnerable slightly engineered ships, puts a bit of edge back into the game.

Me,

Parked my ships. Have done nothing for a few months.

Now Elite in Exploration and Trade, with more credits than scrooge and all the ships I enjoy engineered out.

The only thing I really need is raw materials and who wants to go collecting those.

Wake me up when it gets here....
Get a carrier

Not since the free Epic giveaway. My new Alt needs to earn some more money doing massacre missions. Fortunately, he has a better ship to do them in now (a Vulture). He's now saving up for a Python so he can do some core mining.

Me a bit, but only because Satisfactory Update 4 is going to break all the stuff i was just about to make (for the better).... since they both release around the same time, Odyssey has some hard competition for my time.

did a break of nearly 2 years. i am now back for odyssey and have sooo much to do.

build up credits, do engineering (all my mods were still the old "totally RNG" mods), unlock guardian stuff....

but i can relate, sometimes a break can be healthy (for games)

Luckily ED is a side game for me. Title I hop in, play for a day or two and hop out. I try to monitor the situation, somewhat mildly interested in upcoming expansion but nothing serious. Currently I'm rediscovering Pillars of Eternity while watching Critical Role in my free time.

Been there a few weeks ago, but then decided to move to Colonia with part and parcel, the change in scenery is nice (if not completely novel at this stage) but with all my ships present and conveniently located engineers I've been re-touching various ships in my fleet recently so that is freshening things up a little.

I've also decided to investigate the limits of C&P, so I've started toying with system security in a certain system and have racked up about 9m in bounties. My goal is to add another digit to that but I had to bail the nebula for a little because ATR is now all over me so will let things cool a bit.

What better place to do so than the World of Death - parked my carrier there last night, and the first attempt to land didn't go so well so that'll keep me busy for a while yet, and will be another tick off my bucket list.

On my alt I'm playing poor space hobo, only flying small (currently making an exception for the T6) pad ships, and mostly non-engineered as I'll eventually reset the account again so there's no point in chasing credits, mats, or rank. Light touch involvement in CGs and visiting tourist beacons are on the menu for the foreseeable future for that one, once Odyssey hits it'll become Tritium slave on my main's carrier. Not playing the alt too much though but it's a nice chance in pace, and whenever I start missing the Sol bubble.

It's mostly just reheating old ideas or ticking off activities I've meant to be doing for a long time and put off (due to in-game location, etc.), but it just about keeps me engaged. Seems that a fair few on my friendlist are either taking breaks or don't play as often these days, and I can understand why. Cannot wait for Odyssey to provide more toys to the playground.

I take breaks whenever i want a change. I play ED when it tickles my fancy.
My problem is ED tickles my fancy almost every day still.

Cyberpunk managed to pull me away for a few weeks, but I'm back on ED on an almost daily basis again.

I honestly don't get what it is that keeps me coming back like this. Maybe it's simply habit that I'm not feeling the need to break just yet.
