Plus i'm in the process of setting up a new group called the Church of Jameson for Cobra fans. Dragging my behind on it though, might not be ready to open it up for a few weeks at least.

Well, I got to Elite using a Cobra MkIII.
But that one had a military drive, a 4 Mw beam laser, and was in a different game.
I do like the Cobra MkIII in this game, and use it quite often, just wish it had slightly stronger shields.

Shields aren't too bad. I just wish it could fit performance enhanced drives... woooooosh!
Well, I have thermal resistant engineered shields, but they only have 124 Mj strength. Any (NPC) concentrated fire on them (I'm looking at you salvage mission pirates) takes them down in a matter of seconds. They do recharge fast...
Yes, performance drives would be fun, but it's still pretty nifty. Mine boosts at over 600 M/s and that's a ship that's not built specifically for speed. For that I have an iCourier (881 M/s) and an iEagle (851 M/s).
