Who listens to Doris?

I quite like her tbh.. If I'm properly in role I feel comfort from her voice when out exploring and alone. When I'm in a fight and she's telling me my shields are down I tell her "I know, taking damage, I know, I'm trying here!"
We have an odd relationship but I like her being there ...

I like the ship's voice. Even after well over a year of playing.
The feedback is helpful to me (like when the landing gear is finally fully deployed). "Under attack" or "Taking heat damage" while in the System Map or Galaxy Map can be useful, too.
I would like a few more options, though. And I've always thought that the different vessel manufacturers should have different voices: 1 for Lakon, 1 for Gutayama, etc.

The only problem I have with the docking music is that it's too short. It could double as CZ or HazRES music. Hmm...Maybe I should download some waltz compositions.
The only thing I have muted is the background music. Totally unnecessary.

You may be in luck commander. The ships computer is voiced by someone called Verity Croft, who I believe is married to the head of the audio department at frontier, Jim Croft.
I saw this the other day where it looks like a voice attack voice is being made using her voice so you can talk to her all you want

Yeah, I have her on for occasional things, but I know when my frameshift is charging, I don't need to be notified that my flight assist has gone off and on 22 times in the last minute, I don't need to know about my limpet drones, etc. For the occasional stuff, like shields and taking damage, it's actually kind of nice.
