This clip sums up very well all that is wrong with modern hollywood filmmaking (and TV production) in general, and SciFi in particular. This makes me so not want to see this it is almost comical. Also, they really need to stop milking Star Trek. I think it's done.

Story wise, Strange New worlds is actually closest to the original (and pretty good).

I stop caring about the story immediately when I see kitschy filmmaking like the above clip. Sorry. I hate it. I know, old man yelling at clouds.
