I am out in alliance system at an outpost that is alliance, it says it is an unsanctioned outpost.
Are the ships data systems and software etc controlled by the Federation?
Clearly seen as the faction that has continued in name of the folks that left earth, so would both empire and Alliance sites be unsanctioned?
Not been to empire based system so don't know if these show as the same.
I am probably reading to much into this - ie if you revisit Federation system the station will download your history and see where you've been and what is where ie big brother (Apple MS Google etc) giving them a stealthy way of of knowing what is going on without actually paying for it!
I would have thought differing factions would have had different manufacturers as well or are the big companies just happy to see arms and infrastructure to all sides? but surely if based in Federation systems these manufactures would be controlled by trade blocks surely?
Just looking at stuff from an underlying political view which obviously will/should play a big part in game.
The station I was at says it's Alliance so surely it should be sanctioned by them.
