Who thinks ED is on its last legs?

I wont beat about the bush, havent really played for a while as the game just has nothing for me, the shallow and lack lustre gameplay and re-used game mechanics killed it for me. I happened upon one of the Star Citizen weekly vids last night and OMG, whatever anyone says about it, those guys are doing it !!!! I last looked at SC about 2 years ago and left it alone but the progress they have made is amazing, and the approach (when put next to FD.s closed mouth approach) is like a breath of fresh air. The next updates for ED are going to be QoL, but ONLY free to horizons players? So your game will still be bugged unless you purchase horizons? Really? I just dont get it, I really dont. Are things that bad thery are squeezing every last penny before bailing? I donrt know but I DO know that they way things are shaping up at SC, ED has a fight on its hands. LOts of players decry SC but at least they are BUILDING the game, not selling players a shell on blind faith. Thoughts?

Goodbye and thanks for stopping by... Oh and by the way, enjoy paying for your ship and then waiting until it actually gets made.

I do have one question for you OP. If you are so negative about Ed why even bother to come here and post what is an obvious SC troll post?

Did Chris pay you to post this drivel?

Haven't looked into Star Citizen for some time now, just waiting for it to become an actual game (and I am looking forward to it) .. but Competition is good .. and No Elite is not on it's last legs .. it's only just started walking!

Hmm I understand your sentiment and somewhat agree with it.
Difference between the two is. Fdev sometimes doesnt talk but have a game out. Cig talks to much but nothing except tech demo to show for.

if videos and trailer beat an interactive game for you i can recommend "the expanse" and the new star trek series....

*if* you are proposing that one game dies because another is better we will get to it as soon as the other game works, not before...

I see no difference in paying for a ship OR paying for FD's content that they havent created yet. Also this is NOT a troll post but asks a legit question, go figure.

SC looks great...apart from the extremely clunky movement and environment interactions (think ARMA 1), god awful spikey frame rate and terrible cartoonish thruster mechanics. I'm very comfy right here, my good OP.

Nah. ED is chugging along just fine. There's some really cool stuff on the horizon. I'm really looking forward to Squadrons and Wing Missions, myself. And the Chieftain looks great.

I'm sure SC will be good eventually. Well, actually I'm not sure of that at all but I like to remain optimistic. I don't have high hopes that it will be out within the next 5 years, and given their cash scheme, I don't think they really have a reason to release at all.
