Powerplay Who Wants to Be a Patch-Billionaire?

Dear Community (and of corse Devloppers)

Some players in the community are upset that it took over 5 month of “intense” searching by Frontiers Devlopers to find a “well hidden” bug in the calculation of bounty bonuses of Arissa and Zachary. Some ot them claim that the supervision of the ongoing game must be done by the charwomen of FD by starting the gamecomputer once a month.

Some of them obviously missunderstand the gameplay of ED.

ED is ultimately not just a run-of-the mill game for ordinary Gamer, ED has level!

ED takes no account of the fact that we all secretly hope that Princess Aysling will finally be kidnapped by Archon Delain and then .....

Nono ...That's not the way here.
Uncle Davids head is ticking (or wobbles soon in my cockpit) differently. It is said that evenas a teenager he should have had a season ticket for the movie Star Wars. Sitting in the theatre he had never noticed the story, as he was everytime been so overwhelmed by the feeling that he did could not pay attention to the Story and therefore just enjoyed the atmosphere.

He missed so much of
Content: Princess Leia torn between Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. How romantic could ED be : Princess Aisling, Archon Delain, Li Jong and .... Bakram.

This should not be. ED is simply nothing for romantic hearts.

But Star Wars acted indeed of adventures. Nothing of it remained in Uncle Davids head either. In ED therefore you will not find heavily guarded and secured Caves whose keys are scattered across the galaxy and have to be found on adventurous routes
by players (especially from Bakram).

And in the end, after everything has been dissolved and all switches have been pressed in the correct order just no happy ending will occur and certainly not an all-destroying Death Star will occur as a reward.

The puzzles in ED are and were previously subtle. Each patch contains a hidden mystery!

Here are the solutions known to me:

(I do not remember with whom patch each of this "mysteries" appeared and therefore do not remember the details, because I unfortunately could not solve any single one myself and therefore did not got any benefit from it. )

- Buy raregoods, throw them overboard, collect them up and sell them at the next Station with large gain

- Peddler:buy luxury goods on the market, fly from the station to the reseller, he sucks the goods immediatly
from the ship, pays lots of Credits, fly to the Station again, buy Luxuries …

- AFKCamping alongside a federal Battleship: Create a well fitted Anaconda withturrets and huge shields, fly to Lugh in Combatzone with a federal Battleshipwithin, Park next the Battleship, let the CPU running for a few days: Get Elite Combat Rank

- Smuggling within the station: Buy illegal goods on the common market and resell these at once on the black market without even launch the station: Get 8000 – 10000 Crs/ton.

-Long Term smuggling: Fly to Sothis, Robico, etc, and complete several multimillion-dollarmissions simultaneously.

Now we areall looking forward to the new patch 1.5 and 2.0. Of course, we now ask ourselves the question:

Who will be the new patch billionaire?

I think it would be nice if FD this time will support the newbies and create a mistery for them:

Let the costof the ships insurance be added to the bank account instead of lowering it whena ship bursts. The old-timers would that hardly discover especially the combat loggers.

As a side effectthis mystery will surely produce nice Youtube video showing lots of sidwinders magically bursting in front of the station in Eravate

Not gonna fix the spelling errors, but here you go for everyone who uses the Elite theme.

I don't know what i did wrong, but thank you anyhow

And sorry for my english, i am swiss.

Don't select white or black lettering specifically, choose Automatic in the color selector. The forum will then adjust the default color for the theme people are using. If you use other colors, choose a shade in the middle range of density. Just like black/white, very dark or very light color shades don't show up well universally.

Yea, well...telling players how to exploit the game is forbidden.
Hiding it through a forum bug may not save you from an infraction either but it's not for me to decide.
Either way though, poor form.
Playing the game can be fun, not just by only exploiting it.

Onlone gaming is bad.... People complain about bugs, cause they let other people earn a sum on the side, and then tell that people can do what they want in the game?

What the hell is this? Gamepooolice online?

In the old days there were bugs, but it was your choice to exploit them, if you wanted, and noone would come crying to your front door.

Now they damn well served us an online/offline game, where you're not allowed to do as you like, and even offline you can ruin online gamers fun?

Remove one bug, long range smuggling, but let others be that even more makes the whole "online community"-thing redundant, being able to influence PP solo, and REALLY smash peoples social experience even more than odd trade/bounty bugs...

In all honesty, just tell us if you want an open or a solo game, cause now you have neither, and is ruining both.

Edit: Guess I got a little carried away...

that would be the crux of the solo / open argument. FD thinks they can do both. Reality is raging against them.
