hello every one,i was just wondering who will pay for the up and comming upgrade,when the game first started i payed $35 so i would not have to pay for any more upgrades for the life of the game.i think adding walking on planets and going into stations is a good idea.i will pay if i have to but it is a little bit offputting.i just thought i would put my thoughts up here to see what others think.bill

I'd guess just about everyone who likes ED will pay or already paid via lifetime pass.

I'm sure there are a few who don't like the idea of space legs who won't buy on principle.

Not sure how I'll be getting Steam access to Odyssey though.

Right, I was being a bit cheeky. Frontier isn't under any technical obligations to make more "premium" expansions to the game that I'm aware of, beyond common decency and taking care of their customers. Hoping for a couple more yet after Odyssey to justify what I paid for the LEP. We'll see.

Well this 'gift' is coming 7+ years since I handed the cash over.

Is it entirely coincidence that Frontier have ramped up the 'friendliness' rating when they have product to sell? Frontier have a commercial relationship with you, in commercial relationships there are no gifts.

With some patience there will be offers like there have been offers for the core game and Horizons. You can get real bargains that way sometimes.

You paid for lifetime bug fixes and tweaks to the base game only, and incidental features included from expansions. FD feel that landing on planets (Horizons) and on foot gameplay (Odyssey) are worth money so they charge for them- bear in mind if you did not buy Horizons that was give to you free- maybe wait a few years for the next paid expansion and Odyssey will be free too.

If you own the LEP you don't have to pay for Odyssey.
