Why almost every ship in the game should get an additional module slot.

So, let me get this straight... I can equip a scanner that can instantaneously tell me what is in an entire star system, and I can get in a ship that travels thousands of times the speed of light, but you still for some reason need me to hand deliver this small amount of data to a place 3 LY away?

Alright, show me the money!

(Ps. I agree that the Sidewinder, Hauler, Eagle, Adder, and some others should have another 1 size or 2 size bay)

Personally, if anything I'd want an extra utility slot. With Point Defense now being both effective and useful, there are some pretty hard choices there on smaller ships.

Gotta love the data delivery missions :D Say what? I can use my cargo bay for whatever I want too? Happy days

I agree that it is unrealistic to have a bunch of multi-purpose ships that do everything.
My situation is I love my Cobra 3. (Solo play always) I tried mining, and the ship is set to mine at the moment.
I can do the occasional mission, but if I want to go back to trading and missions I have to sell the mining stuff and up the cargo space and get a scanner.
I still think that each ship should have a basic scanner as a built in item though. Explorer Traders need that, so it is essential.
I don't try to make money +++++ I just like the game. Only have 9 million cr. Dont want a huge ship that can easily break the bank.

Ever thought of buying a second cobra mk3? What's better than one cobra? Two. :)

Frontier have no concept of this word you call "Convenience" or any other word that resembles or alludes to such a thing. Literally everything in the game was designed to be time consuming for the sake of it, which does not equal fun.

In answer to Kofeyh:
Yeah, but I have to hang around the area. My next tryout might be to try to get big jumps and explore further afield.
If I like where I land I don't want to go back to sell the other Cobra. Which adds another thing. If I go far I definitely want that scanner.
But If I go far I hope to find a rich metallic ring. Hmmmm. Can't win that one!
