Newcomer / Intro Why am I wanted?

I've been sitting in a starport for a while now, minding my own business. The game crashed at some point, and when I logged back in I found I have a bounty of 300cr on me... but I have no idea why. My status screen doesn't show any crimes, fines or anything else... why would I be wanted? How could I become wanted while sitting in starport?

as your game crashed in side the station may be you picked up a fine due to pad loitering or something like that as it's only 300cr and that sounds about right amount for the fine due to pad loitering etc

it would be nice if ED put in a combat log / crime log as it's pain without something like that to tell you

It's nice to be wanted.

:)

i agree but i only want to be wanted by good looking Redheads with willness,

but have yet to scan / discover a planet with them on yet ,

( unless they've not released a system permit for the planet they are hiding on or my scanners broken hehe ) ;)

If you are wanted, you probably got your loitering fine 24 hrs ago but didn't notice. Now it has turned into a bounty.

The fine message is big and very obvious, but I appreciate that you can miss it when you are still having a hard time docking

i think the game crashed on op , so unhappily he would have missed the warning your normally see as you've pointed out , it still a pity we have no combat log as such to check over at alater time

I don't think the crash had anything to do with it. I think he got the fine 24hrs previously

A Docking fine does not immediately make you wanted

no , i argee with what your saying as you shouldn't get a instant wanted

i have a feeling that op was docked, got fine without noticing due to crash,
got p'd off due to crash and never logged back in for 24hrs as such then got the wanted,

as i've had something like that happen in alpha i crashed and didn't log back in for 2 days as i was a little upset with the game at the time and had a fine and wanted etc,
whitch why it would be nice if we have some type of combat log etc to back track stuff like this

There are occasions when you suddenly seem to have a wanted status for no reason. Restarting game(again) including close and restart launcher may help.
If not I'm going +1 with the 'you missed it' theory. :)

Err Pizz01 .. I think if OP hasn't read the fines outstanding in the transaction tab, want is the likelihood of OP reading a log entry? :D

very true as we don't have a 100% of the info they've seen and i'm going on the amount of fine alone, also without an idea of did they crash and come back online or did they wait until next day etc :)
