Why Are Docked Ships Like Magnets?

Stay docked for more than 5 minutes and you find yourself surrounded by a debris field and your ship acting like a magnet and pulling them constantly into you

Because physics!
Or, to be more serious, the forces generated by the station rotating are causing the debris to move about. Perhaps your Fer-de-Lance is right in the vector of the debris?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, maybe the debris are attracted by the magnetic landing gear?

Always enter the station when docked boss. This seems like a bug lol.

Only if you could collect that ship wreckage and sell the metals and such... That's what comes to my mind whenever I'm faced with a bunch of it
