Why are some equipment parts so hard to find? And the lack of reward when exploring

I love the free style of space sims and i don't mind flying to a destination to find a part to improve my ship. However i would still think that i would be able to at least buy parts like base simple reactors from most well stocked systems (after all if its trade based then damn... Aulin and Styx should have most equipment) However these station often have very little in terms of stock and that because it also changes every hour means by the time i travel to over 20 different high tech stations i haven't found a single class 2 power generator (which an eagle to even use its guns needs). So i think that stations should be equipped with more equipment from the lower-medium quality/value. Then to find the real high end stuff experimental research stations/ unsanctioned stations would need to be found. (flying with an eagle to find a power plant "not working due to me not allowed to post links!" ) Also i believe the devs are aware of the cargo scoop module resetting its priority after any FSD action.

On my second point i was using my hauler (maxed for exploration) to fly around and scan, i found a unsanctioned pirate station (judging by its skulls everywhere and damage to the station itself) only to go into outfitting and find that there was nothing at all different! i mean what a let down i would hope at least a pirate would undock as i approached and offer a mission or i could find some cool pirate grade weapons in the outfitting. I mean its a very beautiful game but at the moment Galaxy On Fire has more stuff to do and more to explore than this game i'm afraid. ( link to the pirate outpost "not working due to me not allowed to post links!" )

For some equipments like the power plants, you'll have more luck at highly populated Industrial systems than the High Tech ones. Try G 180-18 which has three stations, all worth checking out.

All things in beta are not really finial, In the last twitch stream they said that equipment parts and the way they currently are in the game ( the fact we have to hunt them down ) are set to change but i got the impression that we wont see the change in beta 3 so it could be in gamma we see the change or the finial release of the game.

ya i hope gamma brings a lot more to explore deeper in space eve online has got the exploration sites down pretty good. now use elites procedural generation and you never know what you might find at an elite cosmic anomaly. XD

OP: why can't i buy every item in the system i started in, in this massive space MMO where i can go hundreds of systems?

Not what i said at all, at the moment its ridiculously hard to reliably find some equipment parts if you actually read the post you would see what i'm actually stating. instead of spouting garbage.

I don't mind that they're rare, but the randomness on what should be mass produced items is irritating. Rather than a totally random selection, it would be nice if certain worlds had themes - for example, one station known for selling frameshift drives, another famous for its power distributors, another for its beam weapons, etc. You could then have worlds that specialize in being the WalMart of space (cheap stuff but never the top of the line anything).

Regarding the rewards of exploring:
The monetary rewards of the purely cartographic part are rather o.k.ish, as soon as you fit a surface scanner.

Regarding ideological rewards like rare gear, aliens, artifacts, wormholes, artificial hyperspace pockets, space lifeforms...
well... we will see. In a month after Gamma somebody will have found something.
