Sadly they were this way in PC1 as well, and despite many people complaining about the over-sized pads, they still have them. Some no doubt are needed for peep movement getting on/off rides, but many are just so large they make theming them really difficult to make realistic.

This is still the most frustrating issue preventing me from playing the game the way I’d like to. While it was already a major limitation in PC1, it’s even worse now - since it’s no longer possible to completely remove the kerbs, and every ride has those unnecessary lamps placed on the pads. I see no reason why they were added in the first place. In PC1, there were at least some workarounds for these limitations (like using invisible paths on the flat ride pads), but none of them work anymore.

Sadly, I don’t have high hopes that they’ll make any changes to the flat ride pads at this point. Still, I wish they would at least add options to fully toggle off the kerbs and lamps -and bring back the ability to use invisible paths on the ride pads.

With the update for invisible paths, kerbs can be deactivated for ride pads. So it’s not completely true you are saying.

Invisable ride pads (like pc1) aren’t possible yet, but I have hopes this will be possible in the future..

The permanent lights annoy me even more, along with the fact we're forced to have a harsh white light on shops/stalls/desks... let us control all the lighting ourselves please I want to create an atmosphere
