Why are the stars in the Galmap so g hard to grab?

Am I the only one having this problem?

Between this and the bars on the menu screens being absurdly thin, I am finding myself fighting the interface all the time. Is this really necessary?

I noticed that stars in the galmap became a little reluctant to be selected in the same update where it became impossible to select anything outside the "bubble" of stars rendered near to the galmap focus.

Yes, it's now impossible to select anything on the galmap unless you're fairly closely zoomed in and yes it is irritating as hell.

I've had a similar issue over the past week or so, but it doesn't seem like the hotboxes have shrunk, the GUI is just a little sluggish. I had put it down to my network connection combined with my location in-game (I'm exploring).

Many times it'll look like you are visually looking at the star, but your actual selector is actually below or above the area you want to select. So you need to increase or decrease your elevation to match up to the area you want to select...

Not just you. Since the last update a number of people have been complaining that you can't click on bookmarked stars like you used to (unless you do it from the list on the left of the map). I'm hoping it's one of those things getting fixed in the next update.

Whilst what you're saying is correct, this is a specific issue that was introduced in a recent update and it's alredy been commented on numerous times. There are also bug reports about it. Anybody who is saying nothing has changed must only ever have selected systems from the galmap at pretty close zoom levels because if like me you used to select at a mid-zoom it is really, really obvious.

That too - you used to be able to click a bookmark from any zoom level and by 'any' I mean I could be focused on Sol and click-select my bookmark of Colonia.

Also good luck with selecting and clicking on menu options for any object in system map.

Instead of beeing able to select menu icon cursor just jumps to some random object in proximity of selected one.
On click menu should stay "rooted" for 2 seconds and all should be fine.

Yes I agree it's not as easy as it used to be that's for sure, but then again plotting before could be a giant pain as well and take forever to plot a long distance route. And yeah you do have to zoom in now compared to before, but I noticed when I was first having trouble after 2.3, I did realize the elevation was my issue. But now I've just gotten used to zooming in and that solves the big selection issue at least...

Thin Bars
Commodities markets, and other like menus. Sorry. I should have been clearer.

Agreed, it's almost as tho' Fdev have never used windows scroll bars. MS have done many things wrong, scroll bars is not one of those things. Also, if you're attempting to use the scroll wheel on the mouse (in galaxy map on side bar), don't scroll out the galaxy as well, just scroll the element the mouse is over.

Tilt the plane to see the target circle. Daft that it is seen totally flat and pointless. It should be made into a 3D ball not a flat circle we do not know of until we tilt.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Haven't really noticed it being worse recently, but then again I always find the stars on the map to be a a little tricky to select sometimes.

I can confirm its as bad as ive ever seen it , clicking on a powerplay system early this morning was impossible until i typed in the destination manually. Its not so bad on the main map screen but by jove it was a real pain to use with powerplay.
