why are there fans on the hull of the anaconda?

I've been looking at those honking big industrial sized fans on the outside of my conda.
Any thoughts on why they're there?

It can't be to cool anything. In an atmosphere, a fan moves hot air that's close to a heat source (like a processor) and replaces it with cooler air.
No air in space so...

And I can't imagine it would be to "vent" heat... if it were venting anything, it would be venting atmosphere from inside the ship. Which is colossally stupid; even rockets today recycle all atmosphere and try their best to operate in a closed environment. venting atmosphere simply becuase its hot makes zero sense.

So.....any thoughts?

And if this has been brought up before, I'll take the flames.

If its the big spinning fans I'm thinking of, those are the thrusters. Why they spin must have something to do with the technology at play.

I believe those are your maneuvering jets.
nope.
maneuvering jets are completely separate. I thought maybe this was the case, and checked with the debug camera while moving. No, they just move sedately at the same slow speed no matter what you're doing..

really? the ones on the front of the hull?
Why do they spin when docked?
and check out the spin while you're manuevering... nothing vents from them, and the don't speed up or slow down.

Those would be the fans that cool modules during planetary landings. Derp.

I first thought this was an English-as-a-second-language post wondering what pilots like about the Anaconda. I have been reading too many international forums or something.

HA!! best line of the day so far.

Cuz you know, centrifugal force or momentum or something to keep the ball bearings in good working order...you know, the kids are all about ball bearings these days.. Double derp?

[edit] I had to look up how to spell "centrifugal".

Big Ship, probably has a big onboard computer running windows 208a (with a service pack), (probably still crashes too), need lots of cooling that will. No water cooling in space!

how do fans cool in space? there's no air to push around ....
