Not that I care one way or another, but I wonder why FD can filter out other players to create the Solo game mode, but cannot filter out mission types that are not geared towards single players.

Because these missions can be completed by a Solo Commander. And, many have been looking for challenges for their maxed out flying machines. A little thought goes a long way.
 
As people have said, wing missions can be done in solo.

It might be useful to be able to filter out missions on type and not just on rewards as present.

That would address OPs problem.

There wouldn't be more missions, but at least the ones available would be suitable for solo.

Is this a personal attack towards me for asking a simple and logical question? You answered my question just fine, until this last sentence, which I think was unnecessary.

Dropped into solo last night because I'm seeing about half the missions in group and open being wing missions (annoying but fair I guess) and I wanted to see if they'd disappear and offer me more mission choices in solo.

Nope still there in SOLO??? Why? Can't have player wings in solo so why are they there taking up mission slots? And what solo player would take a deliver 890 of something (I've see quantities way, way larger that that) when it might take 3 or 4 trips even in one of the big boys and be a cr/hr wrecker? Makes no sense. None at all.

I'm not sure they even could filter them out. There is really just one Elite Dangerous. regardless of open, solo or pg.
If they add or remove something from the game it will impact all "modes".
They aren't really modes at all, but merely visibility or social filters.
Only difference between them is who you can see and interact with, and who you can't, everything else is the same for everyone.
The two actual real modes ED has are the main game and CQC.

In short, we are all playing the exact same version of the game, and you can't run different patches on the same version.
There is only one galaxy, one BGS and, yes, one mission system.

Since when is 2M per trip not good money?

Since I can typically make 3M+ shipping 688T of basic meds to an outbreak system. Very easy to find a boom system with cheap meds and a close outbreak system that wants them - expecially if one uses EDDB.io.
 
To keep pounding on you about all the FUN you are supposedly missing in OPEN mode.

That is a very good point if one likes playing with others. :cool: I'm not one of those gamers and probably never will be. Pretty sure I'm not alone in that either. I like RP'ng a lone wolf. And I do it in both open and group. Last night was the 1st time I've dropped into solo in months (except on the rare occassion when I instance hop and then I never leave the station).

That said: not sure the devs are that clever or devious...
