Why are white-painted, non-imperial ships in particular so mean?

Iv'e noticed a growing behavioral trait for white-painted, non-imperial ships in the galaxy. Many of them seem to have very aggressive behavior, especially those that aren't even pirates.

For example, this morning I greeted a fellow CMDR in a white vulture and his response was "and who the hell might you be? do i know you or something?".

And then this afternoon I join a multi-crew session with this white Fer-De-Lance and before I even get to say hello, I get a rude welcome. So here I am deploying a fighter, the next thing you know I blow up like 5 enemy ships for him that were tailing the mothership FDL, then the FDL backs up at full speed while my shields are down and I get rear-ended and blow up. Then he screams in his microphone saying i'm "not obeying orders" and throws out a whole bunch of swear words before kicking me out of the crew.

Maybe the vulture cmdr was the same guy sitting in the plumbing van sat outside your house the other day. [haha]

Flimley

Not to sound rude here... But I call . FDL's can't have fighters unless I have been missing something. And the Vulture pilots comment is a generic one. Not all people like being spoken to. Hundreds of people could have said hello to me, but unless I recognise a name or initiate a conversation (which is extremely, extremely rare), I never even look at chat.

Funny, I like the white look for many lakon type ships as a throwback to the 60's and 70's movie sci-fi.. i.e. exploration themed ala 2001, space1999, STTMP & Alien. Imperial grey of StarWars seemed to be the sinister tyrannical colors to me. Elite's imperial white works as snobbish and regal for me.

For me its simple - i choose Empire as my faction. Therefore i try to design all my ships as best as i can to the imperial design. :)

They paint they ships white because in the corner of their heart they want to be regal and great, like the imperials.
But the fact is, their ships look fake and they are still just a Fed scum.

Excuse me, the Beluga is a non imperial ship and has white basecolour and is a gracefull snowflake, gliding through space!

Saud Kruger are for all intents and purposes imperial shipyards, they only try to look independent to broaden their clientele.

It's a creaky great barge, feels cheap and rattley, and those chavtastic back spoilers get stuck on everything. Plastics on the dash are cheap and it goes and handles like a Morris Marina.
Orca is a magnificent drive, I don't know how the same marque got the flagship so badly wrong.

I guess their attempts to affect proper Imperial snobbishness are just as unbelievable as their faux Imperial ships :D

Perhaps they brought in an outside designer for the Beluga.
