Why can not you improve the FSD travel?

It's just a mocking flight.[sad]
Can not you make it the best? Is it possible to make the FSD jump not tied to a single star in the system?

Ye mean the rngeers? Not entirely sure I understand the question...do ye mean add extra range? If so...rngeers are the answer...good luck with that ^

I believe the OP wants to be ablr to choose an alternate entry point for a system, not just the "primary" star. To avoid long supercruises, I assume.

I believe you are correct. And I am grateful that we don't do that. For the OP, I suggest cancelling the mission and doing another. It's alwasy worth checking to see where the mission takes you.

You correctly understood me. I generally want to be able to adjust the speed of the FSD jump. Do it slower or faster. Select the exit point in the system. And now it's just some kind of dull moving between systems. And why is it tied to a single star. Although the stars in one system can be many.

It was designed as it is for a reason: other players. If you could enter a system where you like there would be even less human interaction than there is now.

This also goes for NPC's. If you could enter right near a station then trading would be far too easy.

Hutton Orbital is well known to the older players as the longest flight to a station from a star. That 40minute journey is seen as a rite of passage for some. I really can't see that changing!

Then you do not need to take such tasks at all and ignore a whole bunch of content of this kind. For this is my last mission in which I will have to fly so long. I do not want to suffer, as the developers suggest me

I do think it makes sense to hyperjump between stars in the same system. Basically the FSD would be mass locking onto the next star to bring it out of witch space. Hutton truckers would talk endlessly about how hard it used to be in that case though.

It's alpha centari (read: worst system in the game). It's broken, but the devs liked it that way, so instead of fixing it, they say it's 'working as intended'. Just don't go to alpha centari anymore and you wont have that problem (you still will have that problem, just vastly less so).

I'd like in-system jumping; pick a star or a planetary body, and do a type of mini-jump to it. Let it cost expensive fuel cells or something, I don't care. It's just that after playing so many hours; traveling between planets kind of loses its shine.

That said, whether I have it or not won't change my opinion or enjoyment of the game.

The FSD has always been an annoyance to me as well... including the witch-space sequence.

It looks more like haunted-house space or something silly like that. At least they added some particles whizzing by but in general, the effect doesn't really work.

Jumping from one star to another, doesn't bother me but waiting for super cruise to sloooooowly accelerate towards a ridiculously far off planet or station and then stall out near other planets, is just.... lame.

I just avoid any system destinations beyond 1000ls unless I'm just trolling for USS's.

But, the answer to your question OP, is .... reasons.

if it wasn't for this system there would be no fuel rats :D........and what about the hutton truckers?!. can't somebody please think about the hutton truckers!?!?!?!?!

The FSD needs a large mass to lock on to. It's impossible for your ship sensors to detect anything smaller than a star in order to jump to it.

Or so the lore goes...

I'd like to see some sort of module that a player can "light up", and then another player could Hyperspace over to. Think an EVE online cynosaural field generator... that would be cool.
