Why can people just walk through ** EVERYTHING ** ?! :/

I can't seem to readily see that this is a thing being worked on. There's a bit about how guests shouldn't be able to walk through fences and someone answering saying it's been added to a design thing? but, I've played PC1 and there were red barriers that you could at least sink into the ground so all the hard work you put in doesn't get the FINGER by your guests and is completely ignored. I didn't play Zoo. I'm scratching my head here. The game is a lot of fun. But it shouldn't be that I'm even looking for this issue finally after having played it for days now (spent the money on Pre-order). Did no programmer or anyone in Frontier find any frustration with people walking through an entrance like ghosts...? what about everything else they walk through? I can probably forgive them gliding along and moving like hovercrafts around or even through each other.. but I design things very specifically. OH look.. a wall I can walk through. BAM. Neat.
How about...
1) Program a minimal small included barrier around buildings and "solid" structure things so that these are not ignored and guests don't just walk through walls. To me, that's a BARE MINIMUM to ask guests not to walk through walls. So, if you had a 4M path (smallest) and it was right butted up against a wall, this minimal barrier around the building isn't something we can or need to see- it's just that they will avoid the area closest to the building to GO AROUND. Or at a minimum..
2) Give back the barrier feature/ item / ability since that was already in PC1. (sigh) I shouldn't have to sink barriers into things but hey, I've used it and it worked and it was better than this for sure.
Boy, that was longer than I thought it would be ... (sigh)

Having thousands of guests simultaneously and continuously calculate pathing for many thousands of objects might just be a bit too demanding on resources…..I’m fairly sure the red barriers will gain functionality pretty soon :)

Let's sure hope so. Thanks.

Cool tool.. and great that there is something like that and someone engineered that. It just that requires a download and several steps in order to just have scenery or walls function as they should. Thanks for the info though. :)
Actually no. Scenery is probably not meant to be placed on paths. If I remember right in pc 1 you needed to activate that option. In PC2 it is turned on by default. But the option is still there.
I always felt the barrier were a nice workaround, but never a solution.
The way above is a solution as it really removes path to a microlevel and it is actually in game, even it is more hidden than an From Software questline. Now the online thing we need is a more comfortable way of having such tools at our disposal....

I use trashcans. You can group a trashcan with an art shape piece and move it underground.
The only downside of this:

Trashcans have a BIIIIG radius of avoiding :D I hope they make it a bit smaller.
